The comment section in the initial screen is too much. We had to take the time to comment it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

Having a video call and coding in the same place. The instruction tab is beneficial for the candidate to look up the problem statement details quickly. Also, I found out about the drawing feature recently, and it's a great feature, especially for system design questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

The candidates should be unable to copy the problem statement to their machine. Clicking any external link in the instruction tab drops the video call, and the user has to rejoin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

I am happy with this tool overall. No need to share a screen as the webpage experience is dynamic and shared across multiple users. The IDE has code validation, compiling, and Intellisense. Having a customizable library of questions is helpful to speed the process along. The person typing is indicated by per-user color and initials. The IDE has the usual key shortcuts used in modern IDEs, and also supports VIM if you want. You can place a label on the interview, and this can be updated after the interview is finished. What do you dislike about CoderPad?

Some interviewers don't know Intellisense is there and accidentally trigger it which unnerves them, you can turn this off in the settings. I use Teams/Zoom to watch their eyes to make sure the interviewer is not googling the answers, which is a rare occurrence. The playback by keystroke exposes the overall coding experience after the interview and shortens a 20-minute question to just a 2-minute replay. I could use an Angular.JS or Angular pad. What do you like best about CoderPad?

The editor works pretty well. It has a good amount of environments available and has the basic features you will expect on an IDE (auto-indentation, warnings, errors, auto-complete with documentation included).

It also records the whole interview so you can replay it later (when reviewing the interview). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

Need to end the interview to run a Playback. When multiple interviewers are working on the same interview, you will need that all of them finish the interview to do a Playback (if you need it to write a post-interview report).

You can't know who has been invited (via email). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

The ability to create question templates beforehand and share them with colleagues. Running code in the IDE is also great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

There could be a better way to manage linting. Running Java code also creates issues with everything having to be in one class. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

The candidates are not required to sign up, log in or register for coderpad.io. They just click on a link and that's it. The UI is very intuitive. Also, it allows for easy switching between multiple programming languages in a single interview. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

Candidates often copy-paste code from the left to the right (console) panel because they miss the option to only run the selected code. Also, not all packages that are relevant for our work (Data Science) are loaded in the provided environments. However, both issues are on CoderPad's backlog.
