What do you like best about CoderPad?

It gets the job done. I can relatively easily create a coder pad and share it with a candidate. It has decent language support and I love the VIM keybindings option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

As an interviewer, I dislike how many clicks to takes to launch a coder pad and pick the right language, especially when you have an interview in 30 seconds. This is my only coderpad use case, and it could be made much simpler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

It combines simplicity, flexibility and encourages collaboration to create a seamless experience for technical interviews. Some limitations with regards to internationalization but regardless, Ive been using this for a while now! It's wonderful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

Nothing much to say for this. The pricing could be a bit more manageable but there than that I'm very happy with Coder Pad! Haven't had many technical issues. Going well so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Molly Lindsay of CoderPad

Ruth, thank you for the support! I love to hear about the collaboration and flexibility. We have big things cooking in the next few weeks that should make CoderPad even more flexible for you.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

I like how simple it is.

It does what you want it to do.

I used it countless times to assess different engineers.

The team also worked on getting a lot of different features that save me a lot of time: HW assignments checks, fraud detection, question vault, etc.

Overall, I used it plenty of times, and it's fantastic.

I have to also say: I got to talk to a few team members behind the scenes, and they are very passionate about their mission! Thank you Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

It's overall great, but CodingGame feels a bit clunky sometimes. There is a learning curve, but it does continue to imporve. Meaning, I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, but after a few tries I got it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Molly Lindsay of CoderPad

What do you like best about CoderPad?

CoderPad is a feature-rich platform that maintains an intuitive, approachable, easy-to-use UI. I love that CodePads can be shared directly via URL, and that no candidate sign-up is required to access pads Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

I wish that it were possible to view Instructions and CodePad execution output at the same time. Sometimes it can feel distracting to need to switch from instructions to execution output, during a CodePad session with a candidate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Molly Lindsay of CoderPad

Hi Darce - I'm glad you and the team (and candidates too) find the platform easy to use. Your account should now include CoderPad Screen as part of your subscription. Make sure to check it out, it should help your screening initiatives even more!

What do you like best about CoderPad?

I found Coderpad very helpful in assessing interviewee skill sets with easy setup questions and exercises. It was also effortless to invite an interviewee into the pad session. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

What I found least helpful was the number of pads available to me. I ended up wasting one for a test to figure out how it all worked. A free account should start with 4 or 5 not 2 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

Pair programming

Sharing is Simple and quick

Supports various languages.

Can create "skills tests" and share with candidates - who can work on these offline. I really like the feature where it reviews the solution and gives analysis. This has helped us narrow down the candidate list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

The bot can become irritating at times. The limitation of one pad open at a time, even with the paid program, restricts collaboration.

Would like to see feature of selecting C++ support level (E.g: C++14 or C++10 etc) though not a deal breaker for me Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

Simplicity. The fact that is supports annonymous access is of big importance. Environment is immediately familiar to candidates that acess out coderpads for interview. A lot of languages supported (all the ones we need). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

Generally nothin in particular stands out. I'd like a way to setup fullstack interviews where we could have both a client and a server on the same pad. I am not ware that that is supported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Molly Lindsay of CoderPad

Belmin - I appreciate the time you took to write us a review. I have shared your fullstack comments with our Product team, we're always looking for ways to improve and this is good feedback.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

CoderPad makes it easy to setup and perform technical screenings; it has a solid library of pre-defined evaluations, a simple interface for creating custom evaluations. It's easy to track, keep notes, and review interviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

CoderPad has started to have ready-built backend framework environments, which is an excellent idea and direction; however this new feature could benefit heavily from the ability to pre-configure some parameters in order to increase the ease of creating custom evalutations using these tools. What do you like best about CoderPad?

Coderpad provides a fantastic shared coding experience for interviewers and candidates. It supports a wide array of languages - more than most of its competitors - and has decent code completion across the board. It is also much simpler to use than many of the alternatives - it broadly 'just works', which is a blessing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

For certain, less-used languages, the support is lacking. Not all languages have auto-complete support, and some languages have slow or flakey highlighting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Molly Lindsay of CoderPad

Luke - Please let us know what languages you're using and what needs some more work. And, thank you for taking the time to share this feedback.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

We use coderpad for interviews. It's easy to use, both for us and for the candidates. It supports different coding languages which is super useful and allows you to save your interview questions, which is convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

After interviewing, you need to remember to close the session (otherwise it exists forever). Also, the candidate can't see the output when running the code, which is problematic Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
