Proactive team and support,
Recording and anti-plagiarism. I can see how my candidates solve problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No API integration. We have to use zapier, which can get messy with scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've been using Coderbyte to assess candidates applying for our coding bootcamp. It's been the perfect platform for the assessments at the right level for people who haven't done any coding before. There is a huge selection of challenges at different levels in a huge range of languages. The NUMBER ONE thing about the platform is the communication and support from Daniel the CEO, he's made amendments to the platform when requested, and given a really quick turnaround. Thank you to everyone in the team!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing - its perfect! It was really easy to use the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the simple interface with all the functionality like scheduling the live interview, what is the result and projects Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The questions are not described properly. There should have been more examples, images to explain the questions. There should be a timer function which the admin can enable or disable on each question while giving the interview session. It does not have proper plagiarism checks. Only the screen and tab level checks are there but there should have been the webcam mandatory enabled and different portals have the system checks as well before attempting for any test, be it live or take home assignment. The projects and language specific questions also should have been improved. Right now there are very limited number of questions specific to a language such as react, node, golang, python etc. There should be the basic objective questions as well as subjective questions so that the theoretical part is also tested and while sending the take home aassignment, these concepts are also tested Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The video recordings, the fact it is a one stop shop for both our needs: screening candidates and running remote sessions.
We use a lot the library of coding problems for defining exercises that we send out to candidates.
I find the main dashboard to be intuitive and easy to use.
It is very easy to set up multiple coding tests and is easy to send out the invites from within the product.
The pricing is very good. Most other platforms charge you way more for the same capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The essentials plan is a very stripped down version. Not much to do with it except sending out coding tests.
The interface is not the easiest to use and some of our candidates complained they have found it a bit hard to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I selected this tool after tried 3-4 other tools in the market. I found coderbyte UI is intuitive and price is reasonable compare to other tool I came across. We used coderbyte to filter the candidates and that saved our lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Plagiarism feature could be better. I would love to use plagiarism feature if its efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Love the team at Coderbyte as they genuinely care about ensuring that they value the relationship and satisfaction of people using the platform. I'd recommend anyone who wants to do engineering hiring to use Coderbyte without a doubt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One simple addition could be to not limit to software engineer as I can use the same for Product managers or other area hiring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It provides a lot of insight into engineering candidates quickly with little lost time. The built in unit tests for challenges is very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A more robust pipeline system and ability for more in depth custom challenges for later interviews would be very useful in a remote world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I particularly like Coderbyte's pre-defined challenges and how easy it is to create a complementary set of challenges for a candidate technology profile. The structure of code challenges, short answer questions and open-ended questions work really nicely too. I also appreciate that Coderbyte offers a large test quota, allowing us to use code challenges earlier in the recruitment flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be great to have more control and flexibility for custom code challenges. I understand why this is tightly controlled to ensure quality though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
