What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

The option to use the service completely free. The features avaiable in the Free version are also very good...

Also, the easy way to manage all the domains and configurations, along side with the easy way to upgrade the account if needed.

What do you dislike about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

The support service is a little slow to answer.

Sometimes takes a day or two to get a simple answer. The knowledge base is very extensive and should answer many questions, but not always.

What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

CloudFlare helps a lot to keep spambots of your site. Their filters are great and even the free version is good enough to protect your site against known bots. What do you dislike about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

Sometimes it takes a bit longer to add a site to Cloudflare, but that is not an issue. It would be great there was an option for DNS templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you run a CMS based website use the page rules to protect your login page and important other sections. If you consider to use the free SSL feature, use always full or strict option, it's much better that the flex SSL option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cloudflare Application Security and Performance solving and how is that benefiting you?

There are many bots on the internet which are trying to break your site. WordPress needs a lot of horsepower to handle even a smaller brute force attack. Because of the strong filters from CloudFlare, a WordPress website doesn't have this problem anymore. You can use special rules to blocks bots after X login attempts. What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

This DNS provider has many great features for the most part are for free. It get your DNS settings from your older provider for you, saving you time to set it up. Once imported you can easily set your site up with free SSL using the latest version of encryption. No need to set it up using certificates on your server and setting it up to renew. You can also implement site caching for static files. Just in case your site goes down your consumers will never know since your site is cached by Cloudflare. They also protect against DDOS attacks and others that may harm your website. They also accelerate your website with HTTP/2 and SPDY. Mind you all this is for free! What do you dislike about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

I love the service but the website UI is a little clunky. It has many features and they are in sometimes hard to find because of the many places you have to look for them. A cleaner UI would go a long way in making this site better. But can not really complain too much since so much is given for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For me it allows my business and personal sites to be protected from attacks, have a better google ranking and protection due to SSL. Faster website which always makes me smile. Saving my clients and me money in the long run. Also does some little things I found are very useful it can also minify your html, css and js. Which is a nice feature when you do not have the time or a task runner set up. No matter what hosting service my client is using I can easily set them up with Cloudflare's benefits. What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

In keeping with the philosophy of their original service, Project Honeypot, the people behind CloudFlare offer one of the most comprehensive free protection and DNS services on the Internet. Designed for massive scale, they have one of the fastest and most reliable DNS services out there, usable with or without their included spammer protection services. As an extra bonus, they also cache static content, serving as a mini-CDN, which will speed up loading of the website and further reduce load on the server, allowing you to handle more traffic with your existing servers. Because of its rapid growth, the control panel in CloudFlare can be a bit confusing. They have worked to address this, but there is still some way to go. They can also sometimes be a bit pricy for certain services, but are reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Cloudflare Application Security and Performance:

Take a look at other companies in this area, and compare features. If you're only interested in CDN, or DDoS protection, there are some companies that out-perform CloudFlare due to their focus on the one area. If you want a sold all-around provider that can provide DNS, CDN-like service, and DDoS protection, they are one of the best, if not the only company out there providing all of this under one service. What problems is Cloudflare Application Security and Performance solving and how is that benefiting you?

Everything on the Internet depends on DNS to make the friendly names that people remember match with the IP addresses that servers use. It is very important to use a reliable and fast service so that you don't have unexpected outages. Additionally, attackers and spambots can slow down a website and reduce resources to legitimate customers/visitors. Using CloudFlare, I have found a more responsive experience with my site and no downtime due to DNS issues.

What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

Very simple user interface to configure domains, DNS records and additional CloudFlare features.

Majority of functionality is available free of charge.

Free SSL certification for CloudFlare enabled subdomains.

'Always Online' technology means if my sites go down, they're still mainly accessible.

Server protection from hackers and spammers.

Free CDN speeds up website loading times.

Additional features like minification of HTML/CSS/Javascript, one-click SaaS apps for domain.

What do you dislike about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

Some of the features can be sometimes buggy, for example, the minification of HTML/CSS/Javascript has sometimes broken my Angular based websites. This has been mainly resolved since however.

Enabling Cloudflare on some subdomains means anything other than Port 80/443 is unable to be accessed, can be a pain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

Easy set up and a front facing interface that is helpful and informative to my customers, not just full of cryptic error messages or technical data. The dashboard is intuitive and clear; commonly used tools are right at my fingertips. The approach of breaking services down to per-domain apps also makes it easy to see what sites are using what systems while turning what could be a mishmash of confusing options into clear, concise control. What do you dislike about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

Error screens, while better than many, could still benefit from clarification about who cloudflare is. Their Full SSL option makes me a little uncomfortable with having a man in the middle, but I understand the necessity for it given the nature of how cloudflare works -- there's not really another option, but it's good to be aware of what they'll do going in. Offers nice protection against ddos attacks, speeds up load time and keep cached version of pages for when they're down. It's also packed on most cpanels so you can start using it with just a few clicks. Totally recommended for entry level server mantainers who want a quick and easy solution for security and caching. CloudFlare is a jack of all trades but it masters them, it's a WAF, a CDN, a ddos attack protector, a DNS provider, provides free SSL Certificates, and much more. What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

Easy point-and-click settings for a lot of advanced performance options that usually take a very long time to set up on a server. Users don't have to change anything since it's all DNS-based, and performance is increased drastically by their global CDN. Railgun allows you to cache the uncacheable by only requesting the changes made to a page compared to the cached version, this greatly improves performance for dynamic sites.
