Very easy to organize user, groups and permissions. Easy to apply version control. Very well structured Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)?

The documentation is hard to find. I would be great if there was a more readly avaialable list of actions and resources you could use for easch statement. Many times I find myself trying to figure out what action requires what resources to fix warnings in the console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The creation of profiles that can be used by resources as the system scales up and down i think is a big win Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)?

sometimes it is not as easy to narrow down the specific access required, i use the console to look for the different permissions and is takes a while to identify. Also, there is an effort in our company to standarize all the access from the employees so it is a challenge Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Extremely fine-grained controls to handle access at every level imagineable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)?

Right now a user can not add MFA without having access to IAM. This requires an admin to handle this in-person (or over a video call). Also physical access tokens are brand new to IAM and not fully implemented yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The fact that it's easy to give and get access to the the necessary people simply and completely without the burden of on-prem systems It's easy and complete. It has the best way of telling you that you are doing it right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The fact that the integrations to curent Azure AD creates challenges around the "How". We don't have a lot of users with experience and the learning curve, though not difficult, does play a factor in success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how granular the permissions policies are -- typically if we want to restrict or allow access to an API or service in a specific way, we can figure it out with IAM policies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We've struggled to find good processes to audit usage of each permission statement. There are some tools to help with this, but they;re very broad and per-service instead of per-permission. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
