What do you like best about AutoSys Workload Automation?

We use Autosys for automation of our jobs in SAP ECC, HANA, INFA, MFT environments throughout the organisation. All of the process is automated in the systems starting from triggering the job, getting the log, depending jobs etc. This helped us in reducing huge workload and manpower. Our organisation is big and need a lot of manpower in order to manage the jobs. Currently, everything is automated via Autosys and only few around 20 people are managing this via autosys. Customer support we ask for it rarely but they are quick in response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AutoSys Workload Automation?

There is nothing to dislike but it will take a lot of work to implement and automate this workflow and also learning it is not easy.

GUI can be improved and more user friendly also can optimise it a bit more.

Easy job monitoring

Easy to get job dependency and other details

Easy to check job status

Session logout pop up doesn't allow to continue with the session even though you select the timer pop up. Not all job details can be accessed in descrptive form from single selection of box name Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use for technical and non-technical associates

User friendly interface and requires minimum learning curve

Ease of creation of Jils and move to production

Dynamic DAGs for data pipelines could not be created as available in Airflow

What do you like best about AutoSys Workload Automation?

Minimal coding knowledge is required when compared to airflow where you need efficiency in python.

Its extreme scalability allows us to run more workflows simultaneously.

I have a very short experience with this tool, so dint have more dislikes about the tool.

Ease of use and costing model

Require minimal coding experience as compared to airflow which demands python proficiency.

Jil creation and deployment to production env is very easy

Dynamic Jils feature missing in autosys

Event driven dependency not supported

What do you like best about AutoSys Workload Automation?

Its straight forward and very simple object status. JIL commands and its interpretor is an awesome idea. Like Automic, its execution is from Left to right and so the dependencies setting. In GUI, the Box editor is notable. Its reporting concept is easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AutoSys Workload Automation?

Since I have worked in Autosys for shorter period and for specific task, I have no dislikes about this tool.

In particular if I want to mention is, its box job failure concept, when a single sub job fails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Orchestration tool with minimal learning curve available in market

Very easy to develop JILs and move them to production enviornment

On ice feature is a big plus to skip jobs and trigger the dependencies

I have concerns about the lack of integration of cloud support with AI, as it presents a drawback in report generation. The customization options for reports could have been better to enhance their effectiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

* AutoSys is a commercial tool, and permitting expenses may be a worry for certain

associations, particularly for more modest organizations or those with restricted
