Arduino IDE makes it easy to program anything you want on a micro-controller, even if you're a beginner! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino shields away a lot of complexity which is an advantage to get started, but limits you later. It also makes understanding how certain things work more difficult, but that's inevitable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino is a really fun way to learn coding. Even though I'm not a computer science person, learning how to code and seeing your code actually doing something is fantastic!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The first set up may take a while (until you learn how to properly connect the hardware with the IDE) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino IDE is user friendly and to easy to work around with comfortable UI and easy to understand functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino IDE is bit laggy(sometimes), also it's UI can be improved a bit more to look it even great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love instant results. When you type in first lines of code with inputs and outputs you get results. As a kid I love to program controllers do to basic functions now with IDE I fill young again and imagination is limit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only thing that sometimes comes in play is unability to multiplex. But with serial RXTX and cheap Arduino board you can crate clusters and have virtual multiplexing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino IDE is simple and efficient, allowing the user to create sketches for just about any imaginable project. The software is easy to use and a quick online tutorial is all you need to get started and learn the basics. The software also includes a serial monitor, which displays timestamps for loops and output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino IDE has a minor issue when uploading sketches to the Arduino/third-party boards. Although it isn’t a serious issue, it does become frustrating having to upload the same sketch two or three times before it functions properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino IDE is a very lightweight, cross-platform application that introduces programming for beginners. This application is accessible from the cloud. Arduino IDE comes with a board management module, where users can select the board they want to work with at the moment.
With Arduino IDE, users can create programs with a text editor.
Arduino IDE works on the three most popular operating systems: Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. This IDE has more than 700 built-in libraries. This makes the use of the application more extensive than limited to proprietary boards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The learning curve is steep and requires extensive knowledge of programming languages to develop decent programs. There are better options for more novice users, like Scratch for Arduino. Other aspects I didn't like were that sometimes it is too slow when loading codes and needs to be restarted frequently. Loading code onto the hardware of Arduino Uno boards is a tedious task. What I like most about this program whose name is Arduino is how useful it is for programming boards with Arduino microcontrollers. Arduino IDE is a free development environment that, through a high-level programming language based on C, allows us to develop code to implement the programs that will control the Arduino controllers so they can perform the desired commands. The best thing about Arduino boards is that we can connect sensors like light detectors, microphones, temperature, motion, sound, position, limit switches, etc. The program decides which actuators will come into play according to the signals received, and these can be rotors, AC motors, DC motors, speakers, colored LEDs, etc. In summary, with ARDUINO IDE, robots that react to their environment can be programmed. Additionally, the program is free and cross-platform. It is very lightweight and available online from the official website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The worst thing about Arduino IDE is that although it is oriented towards learning to develop code for robots, the programming language used is very complex for novice users who have never seen a programming language. Fortunately, there are other options based on Arduino IDE for beginners like Scratch For Arduino, with a much simpler interface. There are no more complaints about this program because it works very well and provides great moments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
High compatibility with original or clone boards. Good indentation and wide variety of configuration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not always connection to the board and you have to disconnect it and reconnect it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
