It helped me to develop interfacing with sensors such as water pump sensor, ultrasonic sensor, temperature sensor, soil moist indicator sensor and a motor. I couldn’t easily manage to do a personalised automated garden system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino IDE software had issues in the old build, but in later builds they had removed those bugs. Few were I couldn’t connect my arduino board to the computer as it couldn’t recognise it. Though sometimes i have issues, i will have to generally uninstall and install the ide and drivers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino Ide, is the best software to connect with the Arduino boards, offers compatibility for the entire Arduino universe, in addition the community that supports the software is in constant development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Perhaps being such a powerful tool one of the few things I do not like, is that for a basic user, you may feel overwhelmed by the number of options Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best part is the versatility it offers students to develop their own programs to implement on the board and microcontroller Arduino Uno or similar. Multiple projects can be adapted to the skills of each of the levels of secondary education. We have made a greenhouse with an Arduino 1 board, a light sensor, and a motor that operated a fan. From Arduino, we programmed the sensors and actuators. The program allows for pre-compilation to detect syntax errors. Once error-free, the object code obtained from the source is transferred to the Arduino ONE board via USB. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is quite difficult to use for younger children who have never had contact with programming. Fortunately, there are add-ons like Scratch 4 Arduino that make this task easier through very simple graphical interfaces for the little ones. You need to have quite a bit of Arduino hardware material to be able to test the programs, which is somewhat expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been working on Arduino IDE for a long time for my self-made and group IoT projects for a time of past half a year. I must say, it's a great experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The IDE should be made more interactive, graphic based and should include more features like other IDEs in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of loading the program. Also, it provides a lot of inbuilt examples for us to study before starting with our project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Takes a long time to load the program and to compile the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find it a very good and nice platform, which allows you to quickly and easily lift test programs and simulations on a variety of devices such as the Arduino Uno, Mega, and other non-Arduino devices such as the ESP8266, a device that It has been widely used through this platform. In addition, I like this platform because it allows more and more to bring fans of electronics to new trends and IoT technologies. And for us engineers allows us to create new systems quickly and easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like that there are little optimized libraries, besides that you can not easily access the assembly code of the device that is used, this means that certain specific configurations of each processor can not be achieved. In addition, it is not a platform that is fully optimized for all devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Arduino IDE provides most friendly environment to work with development boards. We can use different boards & code those using Arduino IDE .I has many advantages mainly it helps for IOT development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some rare cases IDE doesn't work properly & some times it takes more time to upload code to board.
It does not select the board automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to install and easy to use. Recent updates have made the management of libraries much easier. I use it for several versions of Arduinos and with the recent ESP32. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Still a bit slow. The web version fixes this issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the fact I can write code on my computer and test electronics making hardware and software one. This is a great learning tool or for use with projects like getting your christmas Tree lights to move to the music! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has some issues when installing and the library take a bit of getting used too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
