ArcGIS have provided awesome support for the GIS environment in the mobile. As most of the market of remote sensing and image processing is moving to the mobile platform. ArcGIS have provided good contribution to the touch screen devices specially for IOS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ArcGIS Runtime SDK for iOS?

Their pricing is high. Platform should be open source and free same as that of QGIS. Although, their platform is more developed than the QGIS but being open source and contribute QGIS have attained a lot of stability and contributions of various developers. What do you like best about ArcGIS API for JavaScript?

The dojo framework is fun to work with. I also really qppreciate the EsriRequest method. It's an easy way to communicate with my database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ArcGIS API for JavaScript?

I needed to use the 4.X version of the API in order to leverage some of the drawing tools. Some very basic GIS tools are still not built out for the 4.X API. I have had to spend days building basic selector tools, highlight functionality, and tables to give my users the "GIS feel" that they expect. The 4.X API is great for visualization, but it doesn't make interacting with or editing data very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ArcGIS API for JavaScript?

The best thing I like about this API is its capability to create a 3Dimensional map as easily as a 2D map. It just requires a few lines of code for doing so. It helps in creating best visualizations for bookmarks, data and pop-ups.

Therefore, it saves a lot of time required for the above tasks without this API.

It helps in creating an appealing UI screen and responsive site. The implementation is very clear and working with the properties is pretty straightforward for the developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ArcGIS API for JavaScript?

It has very less drag & drop options, therefore you need to learn the curve before using it. It also has a preference for Dojo over jQuery, which is not liked by me. I can say if I could use both of them together, it will be a very good experience.

What do you like best about ArcGIS API for Python?

I had the opportunity to play around with ArcGis over the summer while conducting research at the University of Michigan. Although my experience with this framework is fairly basic, I found it extremely easy to write Python scripts that allowed for quick manipulation of the various GEO databases I worked with. This data would be presented in beautiful, crisp spatial form that I would then be able to interact with. I absolutely love the visuals this framework provides. Very good documention, with lots of examples and great community support on the forums. Allows for a huge range of customisation. They leave a lot of scope for the developer to choose how to do things.
