Trello is a beautifully conceived and executed app.
The learning curve is almost zero, but there is a bunch of stuff 'under the hood' as it were that proactively preempts what it is that you are trying to do. It manages to be both simple and flexible at the same time.
By the way, we use Trello in combination with Slack. The two integrate really well, and you may want to take a look at Slack as well.
