The Merge function is not available in SmartSheet. The column functions are so independent, that Merging is impossible. If you are working to "Present" the information from Smartsheet. creating a dashboard presentation from a sheet can allow a very nice presentation of the information as well, or downloading a snapshot version to excel is an option.

You can't merge cells in Smartsheet, but if you scroll to the bottom of the forum post on the topic, there is a place to vote for adding that functionality. Here is the post: https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/10396/merge-cells

SmartSheet does not have the capability to merge cells. If you are trying to work in a title to a parent row, best option is to format row to not wrap text.

There is no merge cells functionality in smartsheet. You can vote for it as a future functionality by logging into the smartsheet community I'm searching for 'merge cells'. I have never missed the feature in smartsheet as there is other ways to present data such as the indent rows feature or the dashboards which spreadsheets do not have.
