To change the default font for text editing, follow these steps: Open the text editor settings, locate the font options, select your desired font, and save the changes.

To perform this task, go to Edit > Add Text Object. Select your desired font and font size and begin typing. Once you have typed your desired text, go to Edit > Edit Object > Text > right-click on your desired text > select Set Current Properties as Default. Once this is selected, adding new text will be in the default you selected.

Drove me nuts, but I finally figured it out. 1. Click the T for typewriter at the top menu 2. Type anywhere on your document 3. Once you type on your document you will then see a new menu item appear at top called COMMENT FORMAT. Click on that. 4. You will then see a drop down of the different fonts to choose from. Make whatever changes you want and that now becomes your default. You can delete the temporary text you wrote on your document and start new.

No this does not work no matter what the default always remains Helvetica. The font has to be selected every time you write text.
