I have been using Zoom for the past month it works greats. I tested other systems and so far Zoom has been the easiest to use. Quick access for my clients. Just click the link and you are connected. Their free service is great if you can can conduct your business in 40 minutes or less but there is no limit to how many meeting you can have. The paid service is only $14 per month for unlimited meeting times.
I am hearing in these times that it is being hacked which is not good at all especially if your required to follow HIPPA rules and regulations. I would go to a more secure platform like CISCO WEBEX.
Zoom offers several layers of security so I would not discount that. You can set up passwords as one level. You can require registration as another level.of security. I use both of those whenever I am setting up a meeting where I want to ensure tighter security. In others where I may just be chatting with a friend or a family member, I just let that go and not require either.
The program is easy to use. Your meeting participants need only click on the link provided and enter the assigned password for you to have a safe and secure meeting. I believe the password clarified and ameliorated the security issues of the past.
It's an easy, comfortable software to learn and understand. Generally, people want to learn this. They hear about it and want to be a part of it. I would like to see dialogue or commentary as a sidebar. I would imagine that Slack would do that also if I Think about it , but we all get ideas in groups and they don't always hit you when it's appropriate and blurting out something untimely, doesn't get the attention it might otherwise deserve. I worked years ago with Facilitate.com, and it was primarily polling and typed commentary. It could be daunting to some participants, but Zoom has a much easier platform. I see the video and a viewable, typed commentary being a good marriage.
I am revisiting my comment because I have since realized that the "Chat" icon allows for a lot of written interaction. I sometimes paraphrase what someone has said. I will give page numbers, quotes, or publications for reference, and put them out there for the audience. I also open Word on another screen (I use 2) and I type notes into there as others are speaking. I wish we could printe the chat session though because that could be useful. and although we can attach files, we would need to open them and save them while in session or we lose them. It would be nice to have somewhere to keep these togther with the group. Not sure what I am thinking but like a small "locker" for a regular meeting of sorts.
I rate it 10 out of 10. Zoom is a fantastic option for business video teleconferencing. It is so easy to use and very user friendly. The host of the conference sets up the meeting and then simply sends an email to all invitees. The participants simply click on the link in their email and they are ready to go. The invitees do not need to set anything up or create an account. We have had no issues at all. Even our most challenged tech folks are up and using the platform. It is really an easy way to connect people all over.
This is the next best thing when it comes to sales. Of course, 9 times out of 10 if you do in person sales, they buy more, bc the sales person can feed off of body language. You loose that when you do over the phone. But zoom, if in person sales just can't be done, this is the way to go.

I use ZOOM meeting 4 to 7 times a day. These meetings can be regional, national and international ZOOM meetings. I even have local clients who prefer to do Zoom meetings. It's just so easy to use with incredibly useful features.
I have tried a few different platforms and Zoom is above and beyond my favorite. It is easily menu driven, has options for the host and the participants, loads and runs smoothly and steadily.
Agree with the first four answers - plus it is a great way to increase your peoples' confidence on video. In my experience, many have to come to terms with their video image before they are willing to join remote meetings; Zoom is an easy way to use a mentoring process for that. Its also a great way to learn how to moderate meetings effectively where remote sites are involved. If you've ever been in a meeting at a remote site where "Head Office" does all the talking, you'll know the benefit of learning that skill.

The video and audio quality is exceptional. It's ease of use also a major us. Although many first time users overthink it and can't understand they just need to click a link to join a meeting.
