As A-frame states "A web framework for building 3D/AR/VR experiences" it is a powerful framework for creating web base immersive apps with an easy HTML and entity-based component system.

It was ended because, while there was an enthusiastic Daydream user base, it simply never caught on with mainstream audiences. That's perhaps indicative of many VR products in general, but Google obviously has a history of sunsetting products that don't show enough long-term promise.

THE GOOD Affordable, portable and easy to set up. The bundled motion controller is convenient and easy to use. Exclusive YouTube, Google Street View and Google Photos feel like potential killer apps. THE BAD It only works with Google Pixel and Moto Z for now (more on the way). The headset is front-heavy and frequently needs adjusting. There's limited app selection at launch and you can't walk around or grab things in VR. THE BOTTOM LINE The Daydream View is the simplest, most affordable way to turn a phone into an immersive VR headset.
