What do you like best about Connecteam?

I really like the ability to see employees hours and location in real time. I like being able to a correct, add notes easily and quickly. It's great to be able to communicate with the employee via chats to ask them questions about their hours. What do you dislike about Connecteam?

I'd like to be able to alter the time sheet in it's PDF view a little bit more. To be able to add columns that I'd like to see. We also have a lot of different types of time keeping. Different Rates, piece work, prevailing wage, per diem, mileage etc. and it isn't easy/almost impossible to get these on a time sheet in way that we can use. I have to do almost everything through notes. And when I do that, the other rates etc. do not total on their own, I still have to do the math by hand. Customer service was able to add columns for mileage and per diem for us, however they will not show up on the PDF timesheet, only on the screen on my desktop. So we have some employees that this will simply not work for and we have not been able to integrate them into having digital timesheets through Connecteam. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Connecteam solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has been excellent in our scheduling department. It has made scheduling and communication a lot easier and more efficient. It also enables us to see how many hours have been worked on a job in real time rather than waiting for time sheets to be turned in at the end of the payroll cycle. It's also a lot faster to get the info needed for me to do the payroll. I can just download timesheets and get their total hours instantly. What do you dislike about AutoLeap?

The unbelievable extra amount of work that is required to do everything. Example: Want to add a part from a dealer to the estimate? Well, you have to build that in your catalog first, set it all up and then you can. Manually sending the invoice, and inspection report when closing the work order should be automatic, not 6 extra clicks.

Everything is layered on something else and if 1 piece is off, the whole thing doesn't work smooth.

The training was non existent and I had to rely on asking questions to the techs via the chat, which is good to have, but when a customer is standing in front of you and they want to go, and you need to message support for something that should have been trained, is very embarrassing.

We were constantly told during the zoom calls we can't do certain things, but after playing around on my own, I found that there was a bunch of things we wanted that we can do, they just didn't tell us, or are not aware that it can be done. I felt talked down to, not really listened to, and my questions during the zoom calls often brushed off and ignored.

The work board is terrible as there is no organization when making work orders. There is no quick way to see what's coming in next, how much time is left in the day available for work. You must go to the calendar for that, but they push using the work board.

The calendar is ok but the pop ups constantly get in the way and that info could easily be in the appointment area. You can't do a 15 minute appt because the name has to fit so it auto adjusts to 30 minutes.

Having a system that requires unique names otherwise it adds a number at the end is silly.

Our on boarding was 4 zoom meetings during tire season where I was only able to pay attention to about 1 hour total of the training, no one came to the store when we went live, just had a zoom call open for support, and only for 1 day.

When they added the second store, my inventory got all messed up and I had to spend several hours fixing that.

They require MOTOR integration and it doesn't accept Canadian vehicles so you have to look up oil and filter information elsewhere when they come in.

After 7 weeks of using the system daily, I have gotten faster but there are still so many steps.

Can't punch techs out if they forget, simply have to wait until 11:59pm for it to auto happen, can't edit times when techs are clocked in, they have to clock out, adjust the time and clock back in which then that time needs to be adjusted, cycle repeats.

Far to many confirm notices that need hitting, and the cancel is the default so you can't even hit enter to pass though, it's more clicking.

Bell notifications are excessive, notification pops for everything you do. Schedule something, move it to another tech, tech punches on or off, finishes, changes jobs. Need to know when they raise a flag, when approvals come in from online estimates, the rest could be separate and less intrusive.

Have to type minimum 3 characters to search and some part numbers are only 2 numbers so you have to invent something so you can find it later Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tekmetric?

Tekmetric is very user friendly, I first experienced using it at a Meineke shop in Arlington Texas, within the first week I could comfortably navigate it and understand it.

The inspection option helps with customer transparency and helps to get jobs sold with picture evidence. The inspections also help cover the shop from liability by providing proof the condition of the vehicle when it arrived.

The way that the invoices are split up into categorized sections helps to breakdown the cost to customers and improve sales.

When I moved to Texarkana and started working at an independent owner operated shop, they were using Mitchell shop software, I was appalled at how convoluted and confusing both the computer setup and invoice layout was. As well as the fact that it did not provide any option for technician inspections or pictures.

I explained to the owner about Tekmetric and how much better it was for the techs, managers and customers. He got this system setup at the shop and it has been excellent.

Tekmetric offers many helpful tools, such as up front loans that can be paid back by taking a small percentage off of every credit card transaction to help during hard financial times as well as many other useful tools and services that help a shop run more efficiently.

I would highly recommend Tekmetric to anyone looking to update their shop software, starting a shop, or is looking for the best option available. It is a very easy system to learn or teach, it has a large number of features and services offered alongside it to help with shop efficiency as a whole, and is a fairly easy integration. What do you dislike about Tekmetric?

One of the downsides of the Tekmetric software would be related to the tekmerchant card machines, any transaction that is processed on a Friday or Saturday will not be deposited into the shops' account until Monday or Tuesday, which can make it more difficult during slow months or hard times.

Another thing I noticed that becomes a little tedious is that after a vehicle is manually entered into the system, entering the license plate afterwards will not decode and enter the VIN, that has to be manually entered unless enter the plate number when the new vehicle is initially added.

It would be nice if there was a quick estimate option where the customer information was not required for when giving estimates over the phone.

Although a very rare occurrence, our shop has run into an issue with retro-fitted vehicles where we can not change the motor or transmission information as it does not match the VIN. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tekmetric solving and how is that benefiting you?

Recently, our shop hit a substantial financial crisis, Tekmetrics offered services has been instrumental in helping us to stay open and operating. While not a common problem, the picture aspect of the inspections has been a significant help with disgruntled customers regarding pre-existing cosmetic and mechanical conditions on vehicles. What do you like best about FieldPulse?

We have found FieldPulse to be great at helping us managing our jobs. We have gone from an Excel spreadsheet to using FieldPulse and it has streamlined our business. If a customer calls we can quickly bring up the job they are referring to, see the day it was done, the time, who did it and a collection of photos that have been saved.

The guys on the road were hesitant at first of us introducing another thing for them to do but love the features of clicking on the address and the maps take you straight to it. As our business evolves we have identified ways the system can streamline our processes further so we have contacted FieldPulse and requested these changes be looked into at the next update.

What do you like best about Jobber?

I love jobber for the clear and concise CRM system it has. Quoting, invoicing, scheduling, accepting payments, sending confirmations and getting reviews is all available to you and able to be set up via automations. I've used other CRM's before and one of the biggest hurdles was implementation, and the complicated ways to integrate the features available into our daily process. Jobber had none of those challenges, and we had a dedicated person to help us with our initial onboarding and setup which eliminated repeating our needs over and over with new people for every challenge we sought help with. The multiple levels also lets you keep the pricing and budget where you want it to be based off of how many features you choose to use for your business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jobber?

The initial time it takes to get the payment account set up is hurtful, and there is not a clear explanation about how it works. We've also found that when using features that are not fully rolled out yet and in a beta state they will change that features coding to update it to their plans without regard for how it will impact those people already using and testing that feature for them. The simplicity of use, also limits your ability to 100% customize and make the system path exactly as you may want it. There are certain limitations with customizability of payments. Because of its simplicity you also have to use it the way that it was intended, as the more you stray from the way they envision people using the system the harder it is to do things, and some are even impossible to do. They solve the CRM issue, payment taking, scheduling, and client communication. Having all of this in one place and have it be easy to use allows me to run the business with a skeleton staff compared to most. XOi keeps us with the customer at all times. They can see and hear our recommendations at any hour of the day. Long after our technicians have left. XOi has increased our approved estimates rating and our customers have truly appreciated it. The software is very friendly when it comes time to set up your workflows. If you do run into a problem, XOi has a great team to help you out. It is integrated with our dispatch software and this saves our techs a lot time filling out invoices. We use XOi on every job. What do you like best about Forms On Fire?

To someone who isnt super familiar with computers and tech, this program is super user friendly to both create and use on the app. I am easily able to look up how to insert different things onto the documents I create and it is very simple to edit. This program offered so many features which made it stick out from others. This was the only program that was this easy to customize and had all the features we were looking for. We offer a unique and broad amount of services so finding something universal was very important. When I have trouble I can message a customer service rep and they are quick to answer my question and find a solution. Sometimes, they even do the action for me and teach me how to do it on other documents. Our paperwork/app is constantly live as we are a 24/7 restoration company so being able to reach out and get a response so quick is super helpful to resolve any issues and keep our divisions running efficiently. Our techs use this app even during their emergencies in the middle of the night and the property receives the email and is aware of whats going on and the fact that this program will email paperwork and photos keeps our customers informed at all times. Our technicians were able to ease into the app seamlessly. They were able to complete paperwork efficiently and they would make me aware of changes that needed to be made and I could go onto the browser and change it immediately for them to submit paperwork. We are a small company that was still using physical sheets of paperwork out in the field and it was a very smooth transition switching over to this. Within weeks, we were able to covert all of our divisions over to the app. It helped us resolve our main customer complaints about paperwork and photo. Overall, this program has elevated our business and level of our customer service. Our company has been using this program for over 2 years now with over 10 divisions that each require several forms. This has made it so easy to communicate with customers along with acquiring all of the information we need for billing purposes. These forms have also been great with court cases and getting invoices paid because we are able to see approvals and signatures from our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Forms On Fire?

The only complaint I have about Forms on Fire would be the amount of time it takes for the app to load and submit paperwork. Sometimes, the technicians out in the field have to reload their app or press "force sync" in order for me to receive it. There has been times where they have to delete the app and redownload it in order to complete paperwork. But once they do that, it works great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Forms On Fire solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were having a disconnect with communication with our customers. They werent receiving paperwork all the time or it was lost. A lot of the time, customers needed photos for insurance or paperwork emailed to them. Now we can hold our techs accountable and we can make sure that everytime paperwork is completed, photos are required, and customers are guaranteed to receive a copy. It also helped us keep better track of our "paper" trail. There were times our technicians lost the physical copy of their paperwork. It also saved time in our office since we would have to scan and convert each piece of paperwork to be able to put it in our scheduling program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MotionOps?

The software is easy to use! We use this for my husbands handyman business and it keeps everything he needs in one place; invoices, payroll, payment processing, you name it. It helps us stay organized and keep up on payroll. We are able to hire more employees and keep track of them. Before we were just pen and paper it was horrible.
