You have full control over all retention without incurring extra costs as it is running on your infrastructure. Also, the Groundcover team is very quick to help and even provides suggestions/best practices and status updates on how to fetch data from the internal Clickhouse database that is deployed as part of the service. This also includes information related to upcoming internal changes that might affect your custom-developed services that use groundcover data, that is going above and beyond! It is very easy to install using in our case, their helm charts. And their UI is very simple and intuitive when it comes to reading logs, traces and metrics.
