XAMPP Server on Windows 2016 + Apache Web Server + PhpMyadmin + MySQL Pros and Cons

Xampp is open source , light,and easy to setup and use . It's mySQL connection setup is very easy and just opening control panel we can connect to apache and mysql very quickly .

Xampp is not officially supported in windows 2016 and that's why many people don't use it . Sometimes when become continuous false query in server then mysql become currupt and we have take backup of it from database .It is very dangerous thing for database . I have used XAMPP primarily for local web development. It provides an ideal environment in our local system to create and test software. The main disadvantage of this setup is its primarily designed for Windows which creates inefficiencies when using with Linux and Mac. I use Mac to develop complex applications and I have observed its performance to be subpar as compared to Windows. There are a few things that might be technical for some people using XAMPP on Windows 2016, and these are the things that are lacking in my opinion:

1. XAMPP is not officially supported in Windows 2016, so there is no guarantee that it will work properly.

2. I have to regularly update the latest security patches manually unlike other Web Server security.

3. To speed up the performance of the web server, I have to spend more time on XAMPP optimization.

4. Configuring XAMPP is not as easy as other web servers, because it requires manual configuration.

Easy to download and install LAMP stack web server environment for different Operating systems. It provides Linux , Apache, MySQL,Php. It also installs phpMyAdmin to manage DMS system. minimalism combined with all the features needed for PHP development and testing locally on a personal computer, along with low space requirements . also Xampp is open-sourced , easy to use as compared to its competitors and comes along with many other inbuilt modules that are helpful in other cms development projects. the only con that I felt while using it was the configuration it needs to set it up initially. You have to set up each .ini file manually at the start to get working on the projects using Xampp which can be quite a mess and hectic setup to begin with Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Xampp is a free open-source server tool that is very efficient and easy to use for frontend connection with database Phpmyadmin. It is very user-friendly for beginners. I don't like the user interface of XAMPP, it is very old, it needs improvement. Sometimes it gives an error while connecting with the Phpmyadmin database, it requires some settings to connect properly. It has fewer features not have sufficient for developers. The simplicity that Xampp Server provides is the best, it is an easy installation, the software does not consume a large amount of resources, in fact, it doesn't feel like it's running. It integrates everything necessary for database management and is accessed with very few clicks. It is suitable for both advanced and expert users since its configuration is very easy; the MySQL database engine is efficient and fast, which provides reliability, PHPMyAdmin is incredibly easy to use and again I mention, this entire package integrated into one serves both expert users and those who are not. In my experience, I worked with this set of apps throughout almost my entire systems engineering career in many projects where I never had failures, it was always very reliable, also in my business practice and subsequent first job. Lastly, something I love is the large amount of documentation available online, the community is very large and any inconvenience is quickly resolved although honestly, I never had any issues. The Apache web server is very useful when developing for the web, as its name clearly specifies, the issue is that many times when we are developing a web application, we don't have a way to test it on a real HTTP server and this is where Apache comes in with this great integration. Additionally, adding all this in Windows 2016, I could assure that it is the definitive solution for both beginner and expert developers, it truly is something very complete. The truth is nothing. Xampp is simply a very well-developed software and together with Windows 2016, Apache Web Server, PhpMyadmin, and MySQL, it makes for an almost perfect database tool suite in my opinion, totally recommended, for what I always needed, it served me more than perfectly and I have no complaints about it.
