What do you like best about Western Computer?

Western Computer have become near-experts on the wine industry and its esoteric requirements - the flexibility in the software is key. The subject matter experts are very helpful getting things set up and explaining the systems. They are also always open to suggestions from the trade in how to enhance the program to the chaging industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Western Computer?

It seems like many of the things that we understood were "included" are not included and require additional monthly subscription fees - think integrations to outside partners. In addition, the concept of PowerBI and its capabilities was introduced late in the game and as such we made modifcations to the BC system that were obsolete or completely unnecessary once we got into PowerBi. Recommendations to others considering Western Computer:

Make sure you have a competant Project Manager working on your side of the project - if necessary, hire someone with previous BC experience and make sure your finance team is actively involved in every step. Be ready to hold your own people accountable because this is very much an interactive experience and not a system that you just jump into. It requires set up and theoretical accounting knowledge, so having a CFO level understanding of the finances is important to building out the system to its potential.
