What do you like best about Vevox?

What I appreciate most about Vevox is its exceptional ability to handle interactive sessions with large audiences. The platform performs brilliantly in classroom settings and lecture halls, regardless of participant numbers. It's incredibly useful for engaging students and maintaining their attention during presentations. The core functionality works seamlessly, and I've found it to be a reliable tool for creating dynamic, interactive learning experiences. Additionally, the integration with PowerPoint is a fantastic feature that allows me to seamlessly incorporate interactive elements directly into my existing presentation slides, making it effortless to switch between content delivery and audience engagement without disrupting the flow of my lectures. What do you dislike about Vevox?

My main frustration with Vevox is the two-slide system - having separate question and answer slides feels unnecessarily complicated. Additionally, the question slide lacks a built-in trigger or prompt feature that would allow presenters to read questions aloud to the audience before requesting responses. What do you like best about Vevox?

What I like best about Vevox is how it empowers every student to have a voice. It creates a safe, anonymous space where learners feel comfortable engaging – whether that’s through polls, quizzes, or the Q&A function. It’s especially useful for encouraging contributions from quieter students who might not usually speak up in a traditional classroom setting.

I also really value how easy it is to use, both for me and for the students. It integrates smoothly into my sessions and allows me to adapt my teaching in real time based on their responses. What do you dislike about Vevox?

One area where Vevox could improve is in offering more detailed post-session analytics. While the current data summaries are helpful, having deeper insights into individual and group performance over time—especially for quiz-style activities—would make it even more useful for tracking progress and identifying patterns in student understanding.

Additionally, greater integration with platforms like Microsoft Teams or learning management systems (e.g. Moodle, Canvas) would streamline the workflow even further, making it easier to embed Vevox activities directly into teaching materials or asynchronous learning content. What do you like best about Vevox?

I like that Vevox allows student to engage and interact with peers through Polls when used for quizzes in class sessions. This gives an opportunity to see aspects that may be confusing to students and how they can address their learning. Explanations can be shown on screen and later shared for them to refer to later on. Students like the multiple choice questions; even with multiple answers; ranking, pin on image and surveys also can be used as offline quizzes for students to do on their own time. What do you dislike about Vevox?

A minor downside would be when having multiple questions (poll questions) in a session; there is a need to open the session and clear responses before they can be re-opened again which can disrupt the flow when these have not been set-up earlier on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Vevox?

Vevox has a great selection of audience interaction features, it's easy to use, and very reliable. The app is regularly updated to add new features. We work with lots of different clients that have varied requirements. Most of the time Vevox can be used no matter who the client is because of the broad range of functionality. In the past there were some features missing from Vevox that would mean we need to use different apps depending on the requirements. However most of these have been addressed with updates. What do you dislike about Vevox?

Some lecturers have experienced a flickering cursor when using the Vevox PowerPoint add-in on Windows systems. This behaviour appears to be related to how Office 365 add-ins operate within the Windows environment and is not specific to Vevox. While this issue can be distracting, it doesn't affect the add-in's functionality. According to Vevox's support documentation, this is a known behaviour and does not impact the overall performance of the presentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Vevox?

It's very easy to use. Even when switching to more advanced features, they're still straightforward. Documentation is clear whenever you need additional information. Support is amazing.

The main functionalities used were:

Poll questions via PowerPoint add-in integrated with our presentations. Live reporting on the number of people who managed to join. Live reporting on the audience who had time to answer the poll

What do you dislike about Vevox?

We have not used SSO since we didn't purchase the Institution subscription, because we're self-funded for now. The only issue we found is that we couldn't purchase a month subscription, rather the site listed only yearly subscription. What do you like best about Vevox?

I really like how there are different features which can all be used for different purposes to encourage active student participation and to increase engagement. It's easy to use and can be used for both online and in person delivery. Often I teach students who have different levels of expertise and so one feature I find particularly beneficial is the VEVOX Wordclouds to determine the level of knowledge and understanding students have on a particular topic. I frequently use these at the start of sessions so that I can adapt my session accordingly. Another thing I like about VEVOX is that the anonymity encourages students to contribute to sessions. VEVOX customer support has been really helpful in signposting me and guiding me on how to use different features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

I have not had any negative experiences so far- I am still exploring the features. However one thing I have struggled with is embedding VEVOX into my PowerPoint Presentations as it does not always work (but this is a technical glitch which other colleagues within my University have experienced). What I love most about Vevox is the motivated team, especially the CSMs like Louis Terry and Lewis Thompson, who have been instrumental in helping us get value from the tool. Their support, including documents, videos, and webinars, is excellent. Regular cafes with them have fostered strong relationships with stakeholders, leading to valuable use cases. For instance, in our Wells business, Vevox is used for training hundreds of users before exams, and the self-paced quizzing feature is fantastic. Another example is using Vevox polling in town halls to facilitate safety conversations. The PowerPoint integration makes presentations seamless. What do you dislike about Vevox?

Lack of feedback and agility from the dev team to respond to customer feedback- for instance -we have shared a list of feedback and product improvements . This has been shared directly from the business - however I have not seen any progress on the feedback shared .

What do you like best about Vevox?

I am a University professor teaching a range of class sizes (up to almost 300 students). I have tried several different audience participation apps since my University starting phasing out clickers and Vevox has been by far the best. It is not silly and gimmicky like some (which are more suitable for younger students). It has more flexibility in answer length and number of answers possible for multiple choice questions. It has a range of different question types. The customer service is OUTSTANDING. I have had personalised sessions where I discussed ways I thought the software could be improved and they listened and in the meantime I was given workarounds to try. What do you dislike about Vevox?

The interface is simple and easy, but that is a disadvantage as well as an advantage -- some features/settings (accessing former questions, for example, and timing of question presentation) are very difficult to find. The Q&A page is separate from the quizzing pages, and I don't get notified if a student has put something on the Q&A page when I am running quizzes. All in all, these are fairly minor.
