"For backup all the virtual machines"

What do you like best about VEEAM Azure Backup and Recovery?

As the name suggests, it is a backup product, but I think it is the strongest competitor in this category, it is famous for Windows and has a high share. So far, Veeam was mainly used for asset protection (failover countermeasures) in my development projects, but the best thing about this product is that it can backup up to 10 workloads (VMs Azure) for free. I don't think there are 100 or 1000 server devices unless it's a very large development team, so I feel there's no reason not to use this server feature if it's free for up to 10. Also, although the operability is quite different, there is no particular specification on how to operate the backup job, and I think anyone can operate it easily. What do you dislike about VEEAM Azure Backup and Recovery?

What problems is VEEAM Azure Backup and Recovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

My team used to back up with a paid alternative, but it is expensive, and version upgrades (end of support) are quick; there is a cost burden to continue using it, and due to the current financial circumstances of the company, we were considering if there was an alternative, so we decided to use Veeam. We are taking measures against failure (separating the original from the source software, uploading and designing documents by the server or application failure), but also maintaining the "development server (VM)" at the same time. Even if you migrate from the previous backup software, there is no operational hassle (learning cost), and it is accessible and highly cost-effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about VEEAM Azure Backup and Recovery?

Benefits include: Easy-to-use Microsoft managed environment; all that is required is application deployment. There is no need to be concerned about your Windows updating and patching, server space running out, technical support, or maintenance costs. The servers can be built faster, and no wasted hardware exists. Through their marketplace, they offer solutions for just about anything you can imagine, making it reasonably cutting-edge. Microsoft only offers technical support for Windows-centric programs, so it might be challenging to pinpoint the exact problem with an open-source program running on Windows Azure.

To compete with the competition, it needs a better user interface.

Microsoft Azure has satisfied our company's need for a scalable platform to host managed service applications for our clients. Azure has a great selection of integrated server and virtual machine deployment tools. Other than selecting the number of CPUs and nodes you need and the purposes of the VM, minimal setup and configuration are required on the user's end. Some market segments include computing, networking, storage, web+mobile, databases, intelligence/analytics, Internet of Everything, security, etc. Customization can be done before and after the initial setup (for instance, specifying a static IP address). Moving around seems to be a key factor, but some of the challenging circumstances surrounding granting product licenses seem to improve in the void. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fastest backup software"

What do you like best about VEEAM Azure Backup and Recovery?

I backup to Microsoft Azure, but the backup time is overwhelmingly short compared to other backup software. In particular, there is no concept of full or differential backup. Doing a differential backup every time becomes equivalent to a full backup, so it is possible to do a stable backup. It is beneficial because it also reduces the time it takes to restore. Also, as a feature not found in other software, starting directly from a backup image is possible. Although there are some caveats, it is very effective as a BCP measure. Since there are no issues with daily backups, it reduces operational costs. With other software, there were cases where a backup was not performed for various reasons, but Veeam has none. It works very stably. Smooth operation contributes to reducing person-hours for the person in charge of operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VEEAM Azure Backup and Recovery?

I don't know if it is compatible with other languages, but the admin console is written in English. I would be happy if it supports Spanish localization so others can troubleshoot if I am absent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is VEEAM Azure Backup and Recovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use it for VM image backup. The backup itself can be scheduled and supports differential and incremental backups. Restoring can also be performed on a data-by-data basis and operated intuitively. Even if the schedule is extensive, it is nice to know the result by the subject of the notification email because it is possible to see if it succeeded or failed by the subject of the notification. There is no time-consuming backup image, and the backup is completed within the expected time daily. The support also gives a polite impression. It is an excellent tool for server image backup and virtual machine restore. Depending on the server, there is a request to restore the previous day's data, but this tool can restore from the data drive so that we can respond to such queries. What I like the most about this product is that with this product it is possible to make security backups from different environments, whether physical, virtual or in the cloud, in addition to the fact that all virtual machines can be easily protected in the virtual environment that is have, but what keeps us most happy is its backup and restore capabilities for users. "Perfect for Microsoft Azure backups"

What do you like best about VEEAM Azure Backup and Recovery?

Compared to other backup software, I felt it was comparable in functionality. As for the notification feature, I think it is convenient because it provides more detailed status notifications than other companies' products. Previously, there were two types, CPU socket unit and instance unit, but now it is instance unit only. Backing up multiple environments, such as physical, virtual or cloud, is possible with one license for each instance. I was able to protect all virtual machines in my virtual environment easily. We used it to back up the Azure virtual environment as a disaster measure. We have obtained the results we expected at the time of introduction. It is easy to install with minimal configuration and can easily back up the virtual machines in your environment. Backup and recovery configuration can also be easily performed according to the wizard. As you grow in scale, you need to increase the number of servers called backup proxy servers, but this can also be done remotely from the administration screen.
