The voice quality is excellent, and there is a wide variety of voices to choose from. I primarily use this API for generating Chinese voices, and it performs exceptionally well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the standard voice settings are decent, I found that adjusting the pitch and speed significantly enhances the output quality. It requires some experimentation to find the perfect balance, but once fine-tuned, the results are outstanding. There should be some recommendation on pitch and speed settings as well as a short description for each voice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am very delighted with the tokens recieved when creating an account. It is also very fast and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The voices are not the best in this field. I mean they are fantastic compared to the standard a few years ago, but there are many opensource models on Huggingface which sounds better). Hopefully some time in the future more and better voices will be available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used every text to voice app out there for both Business and personal use. I can't say that the voices on Unreal are the best, on the free side they are good but they are not quite as inflective as the giant in the market. Again, this may be different on their paid app.
What sets them apart is the character count for a personal account. Most 'personal use' accounts really mean 'try before you buy' but Unreal provides a character count large enough for ocassional personal use (several news articles, a short story, demoing something for a friend, all together in one month easily).
As far as ease of use goes, really how hard is 1. Opening a browser, 2. selecting a voice, 3. inputing content and 4. done? Not at all. I am of the opinion that most folks don't need the API.
I, however, of course set up the API 'cause I can't not play with tech; that was also easy. Quick automator script and it's on a shortcut key for me now.
I can't comment on customer support; haven't needed it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am hoping that Unreal improves in the following areas, although to be fair I haven't seen what ove these are available in the paid side:
1. More voices
2. More control over inflection
3. Obviously SSML would be awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm just impressed about everything in this product. I've been working around TTS for a while but I haven't come to a product that gives you great voices quality, great performance, and affordable prices all at the same time. this is by far one of the best products I've ever used.. and it's easy to use too with the simplest integration ever. I love the overall product. I hate that the API key is always visible in the dashboard. a better UI would be great too :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unreal Text-to-Speech API has impressed me with its natural-sounding voices and impressive language support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The bad think is perhaps, they are not covering many lnaguages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unreal TTS offers an affordable alternative compared to other TTS APIs. This makes it an easy choice if you’re concerned about price. When compared to open-source alternatives, Unreal Speech is also quicker and easier to set up. You also don’t have to worry about hosting your own model. Lastly, the free tier is pretty generous and the docs are easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As for downsides, we’re still waiting for voice cloning and even lower latency would be appreciated. Latency is not bad, but I believe some more expensive alternatives have a little less latency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm using the service to generate voice-overs to my TikTok videos almos daily, and I'm really impressed by its features. It generates natural-looking voices, it's easy to operate, and the results are incredibly satisfying.
It was easy to set up and use, and it provided a seamless integration with my videos. I also had a vey easy-going experience with customer support once, when I needed help.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good cost/benefit ratio for their projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I could have more fine-tuning controls to bespoke the voices a little more. But I think de development of the product will provide that in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the pricing of this api and the quality is good for the price. The API is easy to use and it is faster than Openai. Great work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the word in come out a bit weird but its easy enough to replace them in the script with words that are more phonologically easy to pronounce Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For my project, I needed to convert text to speech and generate timestamps for each word. I spent days upon days trying to configure and work around several APIs and overengineered documentation until I found Unreal Speech. Within the same day, I had the API fully configured and turned four required APIs into two. The documentation was incredibly easy to understand and had code examples for each call in all common languages. The feature of Unreal Speech's API that left my jaw dropped was their automatic timestamping. Within the same call, I could get the audio file and the timestamps for every word, saving me an abundance of processing time, and boosting my program's efficiency. I use this API daily for all my TTS calls now, and with such ease of use and cheap pricing, I don't see myself ever changing that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only real issue I've had with Unreal's API is the delays between punctuation. As far as I know from the docs, there's no way to do this, but if there was a way to be able to change that time, it would be perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unreal Speech is great. The service does exactly what it says it does, and is extremely affordable. They have a generous free tier and their reasonably priced paid plans blow the competition out of the water. Their team is quick to respond to inquires and support, which is critical for business use cases. The TTS output is clear and sounds great, with documentation that makes it easy to intergrate into my products. They can also handle extremely high volumes of traffic, gauranteeing 99.9% of TTS request complete successfully. Great work! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to see Unreal Speech focus on certain less common words & phrases that sometimes get mispronounced (such as numbers & prices). I personally think improving the overall realism of the output (it's great but can be distinguished from more expensive services like Eleven Labs) is more important than multi-language support. Excited to see how the team moves forward! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
