What do you like best about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

It was very quick and easy to setup. The overall setup was done within 5 minutes.

The GUI is also user friendly. The Onboarding team was very knowledgable and helpful.

What do you dislike about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

Nothing in specific comes to my mind.

What do you like best about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

We use it primarily for the Office 365 and Google workspace backups. It works, it is not anything Fancy but it works. Rollout is pretty straight forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

They integration with IT Glue is not great. We ran into troubles where when a user was exited from a client, we could not delete the contact because of the sync and there is not a way to disable the sync. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to setup. Intuitive menus to naviate and restore backups. Customer support is very good and the responce is quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

We have to update agents manually on endpoints, this is annoying and is due to pushing updates to the endpoint triggers the antivirus. We would rather not set this as an exception on the AV as it poses a security risk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They are always willing to talk about the latest technology and services they provide and are always looking for ways to better your existing setup to maximize efficiency and having plans in place for no down time. New base images on machine hard crash/reboot. Also, it does new base images on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

Windows Explorer allows certain characters for used for folder names, but there are instances that it causes problems with restores Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Runs on Linux so no need to license a VM. Can be centrally managed through UniView Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

The poor granualarity of alerts, the constant promotions to full backups when there is an error, difficult user interface, sometimes struggles to consolidate, not nearly as easy to use as some of the other big players like Veeam and Arcserve Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Replaced multiple other solutions (Barracuda, Veeam) and added Disaster Recovery as a Service Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

* The software does seem to have a lot of quirks that we've had to work through support to get everything working, although support and the onboarding/training team were easy to work with.

* Documentation can seem dated.

* Initial hardware setup could be made easier, and definitely the documents you are supposed to fill out for installation service are confusing with conflicting information and a lot of unnecessary (we felt) questions.

What do you like best about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

We are using Unitrend provided on prem backp and restore solution using their appliance and is working great. The backup encryption, quick restore and dashboard features are very easy to use. The installtion and configuration required Unitrend support help.

We do daliy, weekly and monthly backups for all our systems.

We are now looking in to Unitrend cloud solution for better redundancy and buiness continuity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
