581 Unanet GovCon Reviews

Unanet GovCon offers users a wealth of data and comprehensive reporting. The platform has helped our project managers, department heads develop project plans and forecast productivity, revenue, and profitability of their teams. The forecasting function of the platform alone has helped our firm better understand our revenue flow and plan for any changes. We can set permissions across different roles to ensure that information access stays at a need-to-know basis. Unanet Gov Con is a seamless system that serves as an accounting, time management, and project management platform all in one! Prior to this we were using multiple systems for project management, time entry, invoicing and accounts payable, and accounting. We used to waste hours, often days, at the end of every month to close the month and bill for services across different platforms. Now this our closing process is a series of clear and concise steps. No more wasted time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user interface is a little dated and less streamlined than I would like. It can often take what feels like too many clicks to run a report or review a project plan. It would be great if all reports were convertible to a CSV file or Excel file. The JSR, especially. Making custom report building a little easier and intuitive would also be great. Lastly, it would be really helpful if Unanet would develop a cash flow report as part of its canned financial reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the ease of use and that the modules are pretty intuitive and user-friendly. I've used Costpoint and SAP in past positions, and I prefer Unanet out of all three of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the modules and capabilities are a little more bare bones than Costpoint and SAP, but that's ok considering the cost difference. Ease of use more than makes up for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unanet GovCon and Professional Services – Review
Our experience with Unanet GovCon and its Professional Services team has been overwhelmingly positive. As a government contractor, we needed a solution that could handle the complexity of project-based accounting, timekeeping, and compliance—Unanet has delivered on all fronts.
Software Performance: Unanet GovCon offers a robust, integrated platform that brings together project management, financials, time and expense tracking, and resource planning. The system is intuitive and highly configurable, which has allowed us to tailor it to our workflows without sacrificing compliance or control. The real-time reporting and analytics tools have been especially valuable, giving us visibility into project performance and financial health at a glance.
Compliance & Integration: One of the standout features is its built-in support for DCAA compliance, which has helped streamline our audit readiness and reduce administrative overhead. The platform also integrates well with other systems, and Unanet Connect’s open integration marketplace has made it easier to connect with third-party tools as needed.
Customer Support & Professional Services: The Professional Services team has been exceptional. From onboarding to ongoing support, they’ve been responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in our success. Their guidance during implementation helped us avoid common pitfalls and accelerate adoption across our team. We’ve also appreciated the availability of training resources and the clarity of their documentation.
Scalability & Value: As our team has grown, Unanet has scaled with us. The platform supports our evolving needs without requiring bolt-on solutions or workarounds. It’s clear that Unanet was purpose-built for GovCon environments, and that focus shows in the product’s depth and reliability.
Final Thoughts: Unanet GovCon has become a central part of how we manage our business. It’s not just a tool—it’s a strategic asset that supports better decision-making, stronger compliance, and more efficient operations. We’re very pleased with both the software and the services, and we’d confidently recommend Unanet to other government contractors looking for a comprehensive ERP solution. Steep Learning Curve The system can be complex to learn. The depth of features is great—but it can feel overwhelming without proper training or onboarding support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Excellent data collection/aggregation with great reporting tools. Responsive to recommended updates, including working to make more reports downloadable. The advent of Data Lake option allows greater access to portable data, as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Implementation is a bear. User Interface is not as friendly as the basic user would prefer. Most PMs would prefer to be able to download or export their reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that we are connected with API for payroll - ADP. I like the Credit card import API - AMEX. I like all the reporting capabilities. I especially love that Unanet has suggestions and is always implementing new things and improving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like how some features are so different from similar features. An example of this is that AR invoices can be unposted but not AP invoices. I would love more dashboard reports.
I wish they would integrate more things without it costing so much for us cause Unanet gets a lot qtrly from us and everyone already.
I wish utilization was easier and I don't like that it's called budget on the reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It didn't take long to explore the features within the application. The graphics are clear, and the steps are intuitive in regards to adding time, and viewing receipts and leave balances. As a Program Manager, I also found it very easy to approve leave and track my team's time. I like the current timesheet graphic (see screenshot), and the ability see hours for each day. It would be even better if the hours were color-coded by charge number so that I could easily distinguish chargeable hours from management hours at a glance. Another add to the graphic that I would find useful is "worked hours vs available hours" so that I could plan for the remainder of the month. This would help me if I was trying to reach monthly time goals. In summary, I found this application to be informative, intuitive, and easy to navigate from both my phone and my tablet. The only downside I've found is that the font size on the application is small so the pages have a lot of unused space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The previous hour tracking program had us doing one week at a time which sometimes would end the week in the middle of the pay period. That would cause us to have to submit up to six timesheets in a month. Unanet does it by pay period which gaurantees that we only have to submit one per paycheck. This is very helpful and streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the issues stated here may be due to issues from the company side. During implementation many of the workers had to resubmit timecards because the wrong task number was initially used. For a couple workers, task codes for PTO and Holiday were not available and we had to wait to submit the time card the first week. The website itself is difficult to navigate as you must click on timecard then list or dashboard. Recommend making to where if you click on timecard or expense it goes to the dashboard immediately, then if someone wants to go to somehwere else on the sitemap they could simply hover over the top tier. Additionally, I have yet to be able to log on to Unanet GovCon on my mobile app as the mobile app asks for a username and password which GPGov employees do not use to log on to unanet. I have not yet figured out how to do so but I also have not tried very hard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unanet GovCon is an easy to use system especially for timecards and expenses. There is a lot of great aspects of Unanet that make it our go to choice because we like the functionality, the data it supplies, and the ease of use. As a small business, we need a cost effective and easy to implement way to plan our resources and be able to see our performance, Unanet gives us this at the right price and the quality is great. Unanet Govcon can really have some quirks that need to be worked out. But there are a lot of resources available for you to get the information and answers that you need. They really do try to continually help Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked how versatile and well put the trainings are. If you cannot attend in person there is an online option as well. I also enjoy how there is all kinds of topics instead of just one that you need. Very helpful at learning new skills and to build on your career. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There wasnt much I didnt like about the site. Like I mentioned its very easy to navigate as well as being able to advance. I would say video call quality can be a bit choppy but other than that all around smooth experience, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The user interface is very easy to navigate. Unanet support is very helpful as well, with answering questions, figuring out issues, and additional customization of software actions and logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I know some people dislike certain outputs and formatting of stuff. They're used to their deltek. They still need to work on reports - to - csv. I think if more or all reports could be downloaded to CSV, it would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
