What do you like best about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

My favorite aspect about Ryan is the customer support team. Any time we have an issue and I reach out, they respond within the hour and they are always super helpful. They will ask questions and meet with me until they are able to find a solution to my question/issue. In addition to that, I have worked with a couple non-support related individuals and they are also always super helpful and responsive. Also, going from Tracker Classic to Tracker Pro was really eye opening and shows how great the Ryan team is. Tracker Pro was a huge improvement versus Tracker Classic. Tracker Pro is much easier to use and it wasn't much of a learning curve to go from Classic to Pro in my opinion. This is an application I use almost everyday and I have trained multiple people to use it, and it is usually a pretty quick and easy process, which is not the case with many other applications I use. What do you dislike about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

A couple issues I have had in the past with Ryan are cost related. Firstly being Ryan mail. We were very excited when we saw that solution advertised, but once seeing the cost we realized it was extremely unaffordable. I don't remember the exact cost, but I do recall it being upwards of $2 for each piece of mail which in my opinion, was not worth it.

Additionally, I do have a couple complaints about Tracker Pro itself. Currently, the format of one of our .txt files is incompatable with Tracker Pro, forcing us to do the upload into Tracker Classic and then export it to get into Tracker Pro. The Ryan team has been super helpful in getting us a solution to this issue, however, to me it seems as though this feature of Tracker Pro has regressed compared to Tracker Classic. It doesn't make much sense to me when something that worked fine in Classic no longer works in Pro. However, all in all my complaints are very minor compared to the postive experiences I've had with Ryan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

My team started using Tracker/Tracker Pro back in 2014. At the time we knew very little about unclaimed property. We found the subject of unclaimed property compliance to be very complicated, but the Tracker Pro software does a great job of keeping you in compliance with the tools and software they provide along with their superior customer service. Their release documentation is easy to read, their in person training (Deb Kimball) is very thorough and easy to follow. Technical support (Laurie Taylor) and product development (Marta Bauer) are always easy to work with and on top of all the compliance updates issued by all the states. Their informative conferences and webinars provide the knowledge and information we need along with networking opportunies. Their in depth knowledge of unclaimed property and how to administer it is key to developing a great product. We're looking forward to their expertise & guidance as NAUPA III format is rolled out. What do you dislike about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

To be honest, I have not used any other unclaimed property solutions so i can't compare. The only negative I can think of is that we are unable to be hosted, but that is due to our own company restrictions. What do you like best about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

I love how the letter template can be easily changed or modified. The Compliance Manual is very helpful and all in one place. The barcode feature is a time saver and the fact that Ryan Mail sends out our letters is very seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

I wish all states would agree to use Tracker Pro so reporting and remitting can be done throught tracker pro as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

We need better integration with our core (Symitar) to update Tracker Pro status to active when the member conducts transactions or activates their account. Right now we have to manually update in Tracker Pro. We would also like automation with our core to update to current balance. We have to manually update the balance in Tracker Pro when the balance drops from assessed dormancy fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

I have been using their software to track our unclaimed properties since 2000 when the company was under a different name. It was calling Ryan and now Tax.com. I am still trying to get used to this new name.

I am impressed by how Ryan does their customer service. Their help desk is timely, professionally and very knowledgeable about their product. Someone from Ryan always reaches out to me when I need them. I can contact them through email, phone call or through Zoom meetings. And it doesn't matter what questions I have. Ryan's customer service team stays with me till we find a solution.

Ryan's training classes, webinars, and open hours for questions are also helpful to me. I like how the service continues even after they sold me the product. So, I feel like they care about what they do and that is why I stayed with Ryan's Unclaimed Property Solutions and didn’t switch to another vendor.

Compared to the Tracker Classic. Tracker Pro is Ryan's new unclaimed property solutions. It’s easy to use and I can tailor the needs accordingly. I can upload and download data with my excel spreadsheets. It is easy to map and create custom reports. Since I have a large volume of data, the group modify feature became one of my favors. It saves me time to make changes and avoid mistakes.

With its security features, I can custom and create various roles and responsibilities. I love this feature so much. Because, I don't have to worry about what types of sensitive information my student helpers can see or if they made change to certain fields. I can just blank out the fields or I can disable certain features. So, they can't accidentally made some kind of change.

I also love how easy it is to use the links for various state websites. All the State specific information is there. I don't need to research myself. And the updates from Ryan keep my system current. So, I don't have to worry about if I missed something.

These are just a few reasons why I stayed with Ryan all these years. I would not use other products because I like this one better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

I can't think about it on top of my head. Perhaps more in person connections between users. There are meetings for users. But mostly it's online, I like to meet in person when we gather at the UPPO conference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to customize reporting/importing from/to the solution for what we need it for. It has helped us to streamline our due diligence processing and the generation of the state required reports. What do you dislike about Tax.com™ Unclaimed Property Solutions?

There are 2 things that I currently dislike about Tracker PRO:

1. The inability to drag and drop attachments

2. The inability to update user defined fields without double clicking, updating field in a different window and then saving the field. It would be so much easier to be able to tab through the fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Having been a user of the previous version of the software, the upgrades implemented in the Tracker Pro software make it much easier to input and manage data for reporting and tracking purposes.
