It's unconvenient to be able to link up with systems and extract, transform and load data. The user interface is not user friendly, and drag and drop functionality lacks to make the whole process of data processing feel like a walk in the park. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One area where Talend Data Streams falls short is its learning curve for new users trying to get started. The lack of documentation and limited online resources can make troubleshooting issues quite different. Some users find the user interface less intuitive and overwhelming at times. The Talend Data Streams truly shines in its ability to seamlessly orchestrate data flows and the intuitive interface and robust toolset empower users to efficiently design, manage, and optimize data pipelines. Also the platform's flexibility and scalability make it an excellent choice for organizations prioritizing precision in their data workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While i believe Talend Data Streams boasts impressive features, there are a couple of areas where it could step up its game. One aspect is the learning curve, as beginners might find it a bit steep initially. Additionally, the platform's performance with extremely large datasets could use some optimization. Despite these minor drawbacks, Talend Data Streams remains a solid choice for those willing to invest a bit of time in mastering its intricacies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its not easily to connect to Delta Lake table using the JDBC connection. Its particularly useful for handling amounts of data although there are times when it can be a bit slow. It would be even better if Talend could include those missing components to simplify development. Switching between projects in Talend Studio are sometimes be a bit cumbersome. There is room for improvement in terms of integration capabilities and support services. The documentation sometimes pose a problems. The licensing cost is quite high. There are open source alternatives. The User interface is bit difficult to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The real-time streaming capabilities are not impressive does not enable me to analyze and respond to data as it flows in. The interface is less user-friendly and the drag-and-drop functionality is counterintuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a need to improve its user interface. It is difficult to navigate due, to its lack of user-friendliness and steep learning curve. The customization options are limited according to specific needs. The processing speed is not always optimal which can sometimes disrupt workflow and hinder productivity. The beat part is that it provides connectivity to almost all the sources, which is really great, whether it is a simple file or any bigdata platform, it contains variety.
2.The debug part, it provides error in code section on local machine, which is really great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. The connectivity to Delta lake table in standard job using jdbc connection(Where someone is using spark) is very slow, for bulk data, it takes a lot of time moreover, shows connect time out issue.
2.On TMC(Talend Management Console) while scheduling the job, it doesn't provide the clarity like if you want to schedule a job on last day of month , in that Case , it doesn't show an option to schedule on last day of the month, it only shows to select a data between 1 and 31 , where as on Azure Data factory it clearly show an option to select last day, which gives a clear idea.
3. The connectivity between talend servere and databricks notebook is not stable, it shows sometimes, while using TRest component in talend and invoking a Job on databricks side, got aborted abruptly with error as "ClientHandException:
4.Slowness, it is a very slow, I know it consider lot of factors while running on local , still it is slow compare to other tools.
5.I have observed slowness while using bigdata jobs also, if you want to connect to deltalake table, with spark enzines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Talend has most of the built in components, we can make use of those components directly to achieve our goal. It is a very simple tool, anyone cal learn it since it's an open source tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the components are not available in Talend , for that wr need to write our own custom code. If Talend adds those components and features then it would be helpful for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Talend data streams is the one of the best among the streaming data processing tool which I have worked on.
Talend Big data studio which provides the data to transform and extract faster with help of Java in backend, and customized java code we can develop on Talend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Dislike I can only few that switching the projects in Talend studio which is bit harder takes some time to switch and also since it's is UI,few features like dragging the components that makes us hard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Single window for all functionality hence complexity is least. Anything you need is distributed around the designer that helps a lot and saves a lotnof time. Definately the comunity is vast enough to help you with any blocker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The features of different flavours cannot be inherited. Hence many a times we need to write codes even though the same functionality exists in different flavours Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
