What do you like best about StorageCraft File Backup and Recovery?

Once configured, backups run efficiently and effortlessly. Retrieving files from backups is straightforward. As with most solutions, the volume backup is mounted and you can easily navigate through recovery points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StorageCraft File Backup and Recovery?

The cost is the main reason we moved away from StorageCraft. We ended up moving to R1Soft's Server Backup Manager, as the cost of implementing it was much lower in comparison to StorageCraft. Setup with R1Soft was not as straightforward as it was with StorageCraft, but the overall savings outweighed the added complexity in implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering StorageCraft File Backup and Recovery:

If your budget allows for it, StorageCraft's File Backup and Recovery is a great solution. However, if your budget is a bit tighter and you don't mind delving into a slightly more complex-to-implement solution, look at Server Backup Manager from R1Soft. It's a powerful solution that works just as well as StorageCraft's FBR, but with much lower costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a very secure way to backup and restore data. However, not as user-friendly. Loading up virtual drives to move things back and forth as needed is pretty neat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not as useful for managing many companies or servers at once. Individual on-site backups can lead to a lack of disaster recovery. Something to keep in mind with dataloss. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would recommend for small / medium business. Do the 30 day trial and try to use all of the features during this time. Make sure you setup image manger as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StorageCraft File Backup and Recovery solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hardware independent restores work well, as does the Granular Recovery for Exchange. I can retrieve a single email, single calendar, recover a entire mailbox or migrate one. I have used it successfully for P2V Migrations, File Recovery, V2V Migrations, & Bare Metal Restore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our IT company came in and had the software installed on everyone's machines in less than 30 minutes. It runs every night. Each icon on the desktop shows a tiny blue check mark next to it so you KNOW everything has been backed up recently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
