What do you like best about Rev?

What do you dislike about Rev?

I don't get why sometimes when I place a translation order and then is delivered, I get it detailed with names of the speaking characters, but also some orders only came with 'speaker #1' as the name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Rev is most helpful in that they understand different speakers with different accents and English proficiency and can turn recordings into written transcripts very quickly and often ahead of schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are not too many things about Rev that are anything to dislike. I think that if there dedicated trancribers to particular subjects that would be good. It may also be good to know where the transcribers are located. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Rev's speed of the automatic translation is ideal for quick turnaround needs. I use Rev for all my business transcription needs. They are always fast - I've never waited more than 10 minutes for a transcript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

Rev's auto transcription is not ideal for all accents. When transcribing, their algorithm does not catch all words accurately when the speaker does not have an American accent. This means I have to go back through and significantly clean up the transcript before use. Regardless, it is still my preferred transcription service provider due to cost and speed. What do you like best about Rev?

Quick and easy transcriptions that have saved hours of manual transcribing, allowing our writers to focus on developing stories. The ability to upload files, URLs and/or videos has been a gamechanger for making accessible content across our platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

Sometimes the transcriptions - even the verbatim add-ons - have proven to be inaccurate. It really seems to depend on the transcriber. At times, the standard transcription will be incredibly accurate and dependable. Other times, the verbatim add-on transcriptions have been disappointing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Rev?

I like that they always get our transcript done within a few hours and we could even have them translated into different languages.

What do you dislike about Rev?

The website could be more user-friendly.

For example, after I search for a file in the search bar, I need to click on the title and got transferred to another page in order to download the text file. (extra step)

Sometimes, the "download" bottom would show, and sometimes it just shows "share" and "upload to Youtube". It took me so long to realize the "download" bottom is hidden in the dropdown beside "upload to YouTube" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Rev?

Accuracy can suffer with some of our content where audio may be poor, and while a re-do may be offered, it's usually too close to our deadline to take them up on, so we have to improve accuracy in-house. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They provide rapid delivery of transcriptions of audio recordings at a reasonably competitive price, and their work is done well and very accurately for more than 95% of the content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes they have multiple different people responding and then following up to a single request, but i suppose this is because of time zone differences and the need to hand-off tasks to folks in different time zones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Rev's fast turnaround and very accurate transcriptions. I was tired of using the AI-generated transcription services that got my intent wrong. If I had to guess, my transcriptions ARE 99% accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The pricing is more expensive than the AI tools on the market. But if you had to compare sending your transcriptions offshore (or even nearshore) versus using Rev, the price for Rev is reasonable without the headache of managing an assistant or freelancer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
