What do you like best about Rev?

I get automated transcripts VERY quickly that are very accurate. The pricing is surprisingly affordable. I purchased a manual transcript once and not only was it fairly priced, but I got it fast and was amazed at how accurate. REV does exactly what they advertised, at a very good price. Can't beat that. Then, I can listen to the audio file that I uploaded onto their site which was transcribed and make revisions as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

What do you like best about Rev?

Rev's customer support phone line has picked up everytime I call; if I'm placed on hold it's never for longer than six minutes. Typically, my support request is handled immediately on the call and put into the pipeline for the SRT in question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

Certain features are paywalled for premium accounts. This makes sense for a business model but as a long time account it has created a constant back and forth where features we would like to see implemented are kept out of reach for our budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Rev?

Well, the fact that Rev exists. My experience with obtaining transcripts in the past can only be described as "Painful" The Rev process and speed are simply amazing. I have produced high-end corporate videos and TV shows for years and Rev's service was sorely needed. What do you dislike about Rev?

I wish there was an easier path to sharing more than one transcription at a time. It would be great if we were able to share entire folders of transcriptions with people who are not on our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Rev?

What I love most about Rev is that it is very straightforward and not complicated to use. I can easily upload, download, and search for previous files that I asked to be transcribed before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

To be honest, there is not much downside when it comes to Rev. What I would say the downside is when I put an order to Rush, and it ends up coming back with a lot of inaudible, but aside from that everything is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

I wish Rev offered translation services, since you can get foreign subtitles for videos but that capability does not extend to other Rev services. I also wish support for Safari was better; currently the user experience is optimized for Chrome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Rev?

I appreciate the fast turnaround time in receiving interview transcripts. As a consultant, I prioritize gathering insights to provide clients with a holistic plan of action. But, real-time notes during the interview don't always capture these insights. We also can't always rely on re-watching the recording for reasons of time constraints and accuracy. What do you dislike about Rev?

I don't have any current complaints about Rev's usability or experience. The draft transcriptions sometimes clutter my email inbox when we place larger orders, but I understand the benefit of an instant draft transcript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rev?

Three things to improve:

- It would be helpful if there was a rough transcription as the recording was happening because it would be easy to revisit during interviews

- Sometimes difficult to navigate transcriptions when trying to play the recording. I'd click where I'd want it to start, then it would start on the beginning of the block of text instead of where I clicked.

- Might be missing this, but I wish I could record on my laptop for times when I'm recording from a phone call that's on speaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Rev?

The quality of the transcription on Rev is always really solid. Additionally, the turnaround time is always faster than the time that's quoted for, which is always such a nice surprise to get the transcripts back earlier than I had expected! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I sometimes wish that the media upload process could be a bit better integrated with some of the other services that people often use. For example, I find the process of getting media from sites like Lookback into Rev for transcription to be cumbersome. It's doable, but I wish it could be a bit quicker! Using Rev's automated transcription software and web-based interface is a breeze. It's easy to understand how the flow works, and Rev's layout and customer service makes working with their team a snap. What do you dislike about Rev?

When using AI transcription software, it's natural that there will be errors as the AI works to understand the nuances of human speech, folks interrupting each other, and unusual proper nounds (or fictional locales/concepts). What do you dislike about Rev?

I wish the ETA was somehow still more detailed. I have had a few (not many, but a few) experiences where it says "finding a captioner" and ETA unavailable. Also, the quality in captions QC has ranged, with some being great and some being puzzlingly not great. I also wish that you could submit a doc for helping captioner when uploading video, not after submitting order (confusing that it's on the last step). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
