With respect to Operating system I don't have any cons as of now. Sometimes it's hard to get support from Oracle support team and apart from that there are no issues with respect to Oracle Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Better than ever"
What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

I personally feel it is much more better than redhat linux. It has all the falvour what you have seen in typical linux. And its cheaper with better support quality. All the commands are very similar to redhat linux plus they are offering this on oracle cloud and ready to move our existing physical servers on oracle cloud, which is great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

Nothing is there that i dislike. Product is good. Sometimes it is hard to get hold of support team then we have to escalate it to the sales team to get our issue resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best linux distro"
What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

It is fast, easy and intuitive to use. If you are using another linux distro on cloud, you should definitely try this one. I was able to get comfortable within a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

Since I use it on the cloud (console), it can be frustrating (like every console). The documentation is awesome and helps with those little issues you face while you are still learning how to use the console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Alternate OS to replace the CentOS"
What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

Oracle Linux is one of the best alternatives for CentOS, which was discontinued last year.

We can easily convert the existing CentOS workload to Oracle Linux seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

I don't see anything to dislike about the current Oracle Linux OS, which met all production workloads.

If the basis support price is reduced, then it would be very competitive in the market; Oracle may consider this . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My experines with Oracle linux has been well."
What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

Linux's open-source capability has helped our organization deploy the Rise Vision Application. Having to pay for licenses for Windows would have increased our expenses and decrease our Yearly Budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

The only notable downside of Linux is the learning curve associated with moving to it from a background in Windows. This has led me to have to take time out on my own to learn and understand the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
