281 Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise) Reviews
Installation is easy, greatly used to manage our production sites and have not faced any major issues. I'm able to run several containers all at once and once configured properly they all just run without issue. There is consistency across multiple development and release cycles, standardizing your environment. Amazing stability. Provides lot of advanced features to simplify managements. Stability, Strongly recommended to use it in production environments. Easy to use in various platforms and Performance is high to use for scaling and deploying Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

UCP UI needs a major renovation. UCP API is also stagnated and with limited use cases.
K8S UI is only a "kubectl apply" alternative and lacking any tools for Ops guys, in general I would not recommend it to novice K8S users.
Observability is very limited, integrations with other systems is not well documented (if at all), e.x GitLab, Jenkins-X, Prometheus, ELK, CSI, CNI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is one of the most important tools in any organization to containerize the application and deploy it on the cloud.
We were able to utilize docker to its full potential to containerize new micro-services as well as legacy systems running on IBM servers.
It helped us increase our development velocity and bring new features/products in the market in a short span of time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Docker does impose performance costs. Containers consume resources more efficiently than a virtual machine Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We called and spoke with someone that was eager to help and understood our needs. Everyone we have spoken to is very professional and nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The information between Docker and Mirant seems to be lost. I sent an email, spoke with a rep, and sent further emails as the system has me as the point of contact. The situation was a bit complicated and no feelings were hurt however it just seems like the information gets lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use docker everywhere in our product, we uses docker to manage workspace for the developers and their required environments. It forms an integral part of the whole infrastructure for us. A very simple tool to start with for your great product. The great thing about this product is the scaling and integration with different products, very easily. Docker is an open source micro service creation and management platform.
Application security: Security becomes a baked in functional property of Docker. If an app is dockerized the probability of other apps that are outside of the container executing remote code is drastically minimized. This ensures that we get application security by default instead of investing time and money into pen testing or code audits.
Infinite scalability: If a web application or backend in dockerized, it can run on a simple low powered device like the raspberry pi to the most high end of servers easily. This ensures that deployment pains are eliminated.
Infrastructure as code: This is the latest paradigm where the entire deployment infrastructure is set in stone as code and committed into version control so that users in the whole organization are are on the same page when it comes to development infrastructure.
