What do you like best about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

Through containerization, Microservices can be deployed together without requiring deep orchestration at the VM level. A virtual machine can do almost anything with Docker's commands. Documentation is good, and the command line interface is pretty intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

Team members can use the same container image throughout the entire deployment process using Docker. The Docker platform is one of the most popular and versatile container platforms available for IT management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

Learning the tooling and syntax takes some time and has complex learning curves. For new users of Mirantis, more information is needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise) solving and how is that benefiting you?

It made it much easier for my team to deploy containers in the cloud and scale as needed using Docker's standardized container system. During the development of our software, Mirantis is used as a control system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

Our developers can utilize the docker cli, or the kubectl command externally. Combined with the GUI, developers and administrators can access the MKE environments however they like.

MKE makes it possible to enforce RBAC in a Docker Swarm cluster, allowing administrators to grant access to developers without having to give root access to one or more servers.

As MKE runs in both Swarm and Kubernetes, it allows us to migrate our orchestrator from Swarm to Kubernetes without having to set up an entirely new separate cluster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

The GUI can be unresponsive at times, though I'd advise to use the docker cli or Lens (with kubectl). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our developers required access to the Docker Swarm services or containers for troubleshooting. Using Docker CE, this meant the developers required local access to the Swarm hosts.

With MKE, we could grant access to only Swarm resources through a GUI or external cli. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

We can create a containerized application because application development and deployment are simple. Through the application, we must facilitate the data transfer procedure. We must implement a cloud-based system to deploy applications for our business processes. Customer service is unparalleled. We encountered obstacles while executing the product, but we overcame them with customer support's assistance. Currently, we are preparing our applications for success. The product's portability is an additional strength. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

We are concerned about the ineffectiveness of the Windows 10 patch. The UI is so far from being user-friendly that we had great difficulty managing the process and utilizing its features in the first few weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise) solving and how is that benefiting you?

In whichever environment we choose, we can create containers. Even if our software development environment could accomplish this, the process can be used in production without problems. This implies that the device is adapted to the development environment, and the process is prolonged. Our team could test latest features with the Mirantis Kubernetes engine, and the synchrotron of the various environments accelerates the work process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It makes applications easy to distribute and publish. This makes applications easy to run and understand. It is easy to set it up but it's difficult to understand its functions an all. What problems is Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Some of the changes to the Dockerfile structure are confusing and incompatible with older versions, and challenging teams but the configuration drifts are solved because we all have a common "language" for sharing configurations regardless of the tools used to build them.
