Knoppix has a boot script file you can set init to just go to 3 at boot for a headless server, is there a way to do that in Mint, or should I just use Knoppix for that?

I had some problems to perform internal virtualization with the Mint, I would like to know if this is already overcome or is there an alternative to use Virtual Box.
