What do you like best about Kong Insomnia?

What I most like about Insomnia is its user interface. You don't feel burdened by hundreds of options or buttons. Most things are easy to find, and the distribution of Request's List, Request Body, and Response Body are lovely and understandable, especially on small screens. What do you dislike about Kong Insomnia?

What do you like best about Kong Gateway?

We've had to contact support in the past with upgrade issues who were really helpful and responsive to the questions and issues we had at the time. What do you dislike about Kong Gateway?

Using kong with terraform seems to be missing some features and the terraform docs could be a little more clear with more outputs/attributes listed. However, it seems moving away from terraform might be the better solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kong Gateway?

Kong Gateway is easy to install and connect to their web UI, Kong Konnect. The UI then provided low code / no code solutions to securely link the gateway to external APIs in Boomi and MuleSoft. In addition, it's super easy to install plugins for HTTP logging, bot detection, and rate limiting via the UI. The plugin scope can also be managed through the UI. What do you dislike about Kong Gateway?

Kong's documentation for some plugins, such as the Splunk plugin, is not detailed. It says a third party

(not Splunk or Kong) maintains the plugin. Also, the limited documentation made it difficult to troubleshoot errors that arose; ergo, the Splunk plugin couldn't be used. Splunk's documentation also has conflicting information about logging integration with the Kong API gateway hosted in a Docker container. For example, not all logs are supported by the integration. Kong Gateway provides various options to configure and run in customer-hosted infrastructure. Kong also provides a lot of ready-to-use artefacts to install and configure the Kong gateway with a few steps. The Kong community is still evolving and there is little help available in the community to discuss issues. The documentation is also limited over the internet.
