The most valuable feature would be the fact that it has been running for awhile in an appliance format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

well suited for use by a larger organization wanting to solve the business problems related to the collection, transformation, and dissemination of our company's business process information. What do you like best about IBM Netezza Performance Server?

The FPGA feature which makes the design unique and special compared to other warehouse tools like Teradata Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Netezza Performance Server?

Although the appliance design was brilliant,we had faced issue in models like MAKO and Sniper about ghost sessions where session would not get kill until a clear restart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would highly recommend Netezza for customers who are dealing with large amounts of data. It is a fantastic tool for bulk inserts and comparing tables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Netezza Performance Server solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem that I solved was a big data problem. We had millions of rows in our database and I had to write some user defined functions custom to our business case. We were amazed by the throughput rate of Netezza. After having solved the problem in Hadoop with custom map reduce(It took around 22 hours) Netezza did it in 5 mins Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Netezza Performance Server is delivered with the same load and go ease of use customers expect. No indexing or tuning is required, ensuring that the entire set of available nz utilities remains unchanged. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Cost is high for medium sized companies
