This is the second time I've chosen and implemented GitProtect, and it's been a fantastic solution once again. The reason I came back is simple: it works. The setup is a breeze, the pricing is clear, and it integrates without any fuss. Just like my first experience, we went from proof-of-concept to fully operational in just a week. It's my go-to recommendation for getting security requirements for SOC 2 handled quickly and effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The core product is solid. My only wish is for more detailed error logs. Sometimes when a scheduled backup has a warning, it's tough to figure out the 'why' on your own. This leads to opening support tickets, and while the team is quick to respond, a final fix can take a while. More detailed, actionable logs would be a fantastic improvement. I can have a customized backup window wherein I can choose when to have a backup, and also I can choose how many backup tasks can be performed at once Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have faced some bugs while using the tool, there was an incident where while taking the backup it only backup up my main branch and not the other branches. The UI needs some serious improvement in the styling and the way options are put. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I started to use gitprotect because they reached out to me and informed me that I had sensitive data on one of my repositories. This was extremely helpful because, as it turned out, I had an API key present in one of my files. I promptly fixed the issue, but I wouldn't have identified without gitprotect's proven security practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't say there is much I dislike about gitprotect. If anything, I would say that I am overwhelmed by the number of features available using gitprotect. Of course, I am new to programming, so this is to be expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GitProtect.io, the easy way to say it is that it is a backup solution that is most helpful for DevOps engineers and App developers where they are able to backup their Project files from multiple platforms such as Github, BitBucket etc., and is most sure too. The one thing I'd like to point out is these backups can't be accessed from mobile as it doesn't have a separate app and is not mobile-friendly. Other than that it's a perfect tool for developers as it provides a good encryption too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GitProtect makes super easy to backup our gitlab repositories, meeting all the compliance requirements that you can imagine. It ensures that the data is encrypted in transit and at rest, so all the source code is secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No complains about the tool. The pricing could be a little bit more competitive, and it can get expensive once you have a good number of repositories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
