"dbForge Studio makes comparing and syncing databases relatively easy."
What do you like best about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

I don't use all the features of dbForge today. I'm sure there are other gems to find. I primarily need dbForge Studio to help migrate data between environments and it is fantastic for this purpose.

I have tried other tools and this is by far the best that I've found for this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

I occasionally sync tables, then re-compare them and dbForge shows that they are still different.

When this happens, it has been difficult for me to figure out why.

When I then, manually compare, they look identical to me.

I'm not sure what improvement to advise but it confuses me when I update a column to the same value as the original table, yet the compare still flags them as different. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dynamic Management Views helps me to troubleshoot issues better in my SQL Server"
What do you like best about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

dbForge Studio for SQL Server is an SQL management platform used to process and perform various operations in our DB servers such as data replication, transaction logs, record merge, backup snapshot, etc. It implements mirroring in which we can maintain our SQL Server copy in another server. Also, it provides high-availability recovery solutions to overcome application ramp-down shortcomings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

It provides a superb recovery model in which my database properties are logged adequately in its transactional log whether I perform simple load, bulk load, or full load. Nothing to dislike about dbForge Studio for our SQL servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great MS SQL tool for every day use"
What do you like best about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

All in one tool for MS SQL. Use it every day. Schema compare works very well, data generator another great feature, diagrams are a very useful thing (much better than in a standard MS Studio tool). Last updates this year have many nice small improvements. Work with Azure improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

Very sad that it is limited to Windows OS only. Would be great to have something similar for Mac or Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature rich dbForge Studio for SQL Server development"
What do you like best about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

Full-featured IDE for SQL Server development Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

T-SQL formatting compacts the code, but I prefer readability over size. I couldn't find how to modify that behavior.

It is not possible to design diagrams using tables from several databases.

When committing changes it is not possible to attach a description. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"dbForge Actually Makes SQL "Fun""
What do you like best about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

First of all, dbForge ships with a dark theme. That's huge already, but the features I absolutely love are:

Powerful and intuitive SQL formatting and code completion - I don't need to go searching for column names as dbForge suggests and can even insert them automatically.

The table designer and database diagrams are nice, though not necessarily unique among products. They still help me visualize and understand the database.

The killer feature for me is the ability to compare my database with another database and generate a highly customizable change script to get the other database's schema to match my own. This lets me just make changes to one database, then script them out and have the tool worry about the differences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about dbForge Studio for SQL Server?

Honestly, the main thing I dislike right now is my own lack of knowledge of all of dbForge's features. I don't have time to go through all the tutorials and documentation devart offers, so it's just a time limitation on my part in exploring all the ways that dbForge can help me.
