184 DataDome Reviews

We recently integrated DataDome as our primary bot protection solution for our web and mobile platforms, and the results have been impressive. DataDome stands out for its real-time detection and blocking of malicious bots, leveraging advanced techniques like device fingerprinting, behavioral analysis, and machine learning. This has allowed us to significantly reduce fraudulent activities, scraping attempts, and account takeover risks without disrupting the experience for legitimate users.
The support from the DataDome team has been invaluable, especially in facing fast-pacing attacks, setting up new security scenarios, and analyzing threat data to stay ahead of emerging risks.
Key benefits include high accuracy, flexible customization, and strong scalability. Integration was smooth with our infrastructure, and we’ve even seen performance gains thanks to reduced server load. Highly recommended for robust, hassle-free bot protection. Nothing major so far. The initial configuration requires careful tuning to avoid blocking edge-case legitimate traffic, but the support team was responsive and helped us fine-tune the rules quickly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Setting-up DataDome on our servers was quick and efficient: a simple piece of code to copy on our servers. The DashBoard is also useful. It took us a bit of time to get used to the information displayed and how to play with it, but once done, it's easy. Most of all, this dashboard allows us to be independent for white- or blacklistings bots in complete autonomy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing special, this solution fits our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Datadome has saved us from a number of large scale DDOS attacks that would have overwhelmed our in house solutions. The platform is very intuitive and little to no maintenance. Our site was already in Cloudfront and their integration with Lamdba made the integration simple. Very rarely do we hear from customers that were captcha'd or blocked by Datadome. The capctha interstitial can result in a poor user experience depending on the structure of your pages js. It works in almost all cases, but less conventional ajax calls can cause issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
DataDome provides outstanding visibility into your traffic, with a well-structured and intuitive dashboard that presents security insights clearly, making it easy to inspect request details when needed.
Under the hood, its real-time engine safeguards our traffic without requiring manual rule management. Instead, it intelligently adapts by learning from the website's behavior, ensuring seamless protection. Integration was smooth and hassle-free.
The entire team, from office staff to technical experts, has been fantastic—highly knowledgeable and truly dedicated to their product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Taking advantage of the company position, they could offer a CDN solution directly, instead with the integration with other vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Datadome provides a solid Bot Mitigation platform that allows you to easily analyze traffic and make informed decisions about traffic thats hitting your environment. The multitude of different models provides detailed information about threats as they are detected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The F5 Integration was a bit rough initially to get working. I ended up working with our customer support team to get the integration finalized, but I felt that the knowledge on their team was not as good as it could have been. We've also some some issues with our support team changing and us not being alerted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

DataDome's bot protection delivers exceptional results with minimal effort. The implementation was remarkably straightforward - we actually tried Cloudflare first - Cloudflare took hundreds of hours of my time and just couldn't figure out how to protect us, DataDome took probably eight hours of my time. And the solution is way better
What sets DataDome apart is it's AI-Threat Detection with EXTREMELY low false positive rates. They have the ability to deliver clean, accurate analytics by effectively blocking malicious bot traffic. Their system blocked over 21,000 bad bot attempts in just one week (about 3,000 daily), eliminating about 4% of our total traffic that was identified as AI threats. The false positive ratio is impressively low at 0.0138%, ensuring legitimate users aren't affected.
The most valuable benefit has been the peace of mind knowing our data truly represents human behavior. As I mentioned to their team, "the most helpful thing for me is the relief that our analytics are much more clean and representative of actual human" activity. This clean data helps us make better business decisions based on genuine customer interactions rather than bot-generated noise.
DataDome's specialized protection for account creation has been crucial for preventing bots from creating fake accounts that would otherwise contaminate our Klaviyo email lists. Before implementing DataDome, these fake bot signups would automatically subscribe to emails, artificially inflate our analytics, and increase our marketing costs unnecessarily.
Their dashboard provides visibility into threats, breaking down the types of attacks (predominantly scraping in our case, with some spamming, scalping, and credential stuffing attempts). Their threat research team actively monitors traffic patterns to make adjustments as needed, providing an extra layer of security expertise.
Their support team has been super available and onboarding was done for me with no technical lift on my end. Sure easy integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Lookback window to analyze data past a week or two is very limited.
UI could be slightly improved, though in onboarding you are completely guided through the UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've been using Datadome for some years and we keep on getting completely satisfied by the solution that is constantly proposing evolutions in its protection. The web portal (and dashboard) is quite easy to use and we are always supported by the commercial and support teams in case of question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing to report at this time - the solution evolves and keeps proposing new features to its customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What attracts us most to the service offered by DataDome for thwarting automated programs is the all-encompassing protection they provide, and all without sacrificing the interaction with real users. They stand out due to their superior capabilities in recognizing unwanted software, along with instantaneous intelligence and tailor-made alternatives. They remain committed to a smooth merging process, unmatched client assistance, and straightforward cost structures. For those earnest about shielding their online presence from harmful automated entities Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to add whitelisted ip ranges easier would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
DataDome really is your one stop shop if you want to get rid of bots, spiders and the like. It runs pretty much on autopilot and you can focus on your core business again. The onboarding was super professional and a real pleasure.
UPDATE: After more than two years with DataDome, we really couldn't be happier with the service. It has been truly transformational for our IT operations. Thank you, DataDome! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing really. In fact, the service doesn't appear to be cheap first, but absolutely pays off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Datadome is quickly setup, easy to learn and navigate from a users perspective and does a great job of detecting & keeping malicious traffic away from your application. On top their support team is very responsive and for us always helped to sort out issues (in the rare cases where we had some). To give you one example: At some point we made a change in our product that confused the ML models in Datadome and resulted in much more captchas shown to regular users. Back then tracking false-positive rates for captchas shown to our customers in Datadome was also a tedious excercise because it meant looking into Excel exports. Datadome worked with us on improving false-positive rates and later added better UI to track false-positive rates to make our lives easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ML models are both amazing and sometimes pain, because they're very blackboxish. We had that experience at some point in the past, where the ML model changed behaviour and it wasn't really clear on our side why. In the end we managed to reconcile and even improve with the help of Datadome, but I think this is worth pointing out when you're start using an ML based model, there's a chance that this could happen to you as well.
Another very nitpicky thing that comes to mind: In some cases you might also not want to run all of your traffic through Datadome. If you need a flexible solution there that goes beyond URLs and regex, you need to run your own customized Datadome worker on Cloudflare. That you can do this is great, but I would have preferred that the Datadome integration works better with Cloudflare configuration rules for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
