Mesh7

Description

Mesh7 was a cloud-native application security company that specialized in API security, zero trust networking, and service mesh observability. The company provided solutions to enhance the visibility and security of microservices in cloud environments, helping organizations to protect their applications from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities. Mesh7's technology facilitated better security posture through rich insights and adaptive control over microservices. It's important to note that Mesh7 was acquired by VMware in March 2021, and further developments are likely integrated into VMware's portfolio, especially concerning cloud security offerings. As of the acquisition, Mesh7's original website is no longer operational.

What do you like best about Cloud-Native API Behavior Security for EKS and EC2 (BYOL)?

Mesh7 offers API security features for our cloud-native applications deployed on EC2 and EKS environments. Its main objective is to eliminate potential blind spots while carrying out an application layer security overview. It handles both known vulnerabilities such as authentication issues, code injection difficulties & inadequacy in rate-limiting definitions and also custom vulnerabilities from our client SOP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloud-Native API Behavior Security for EKS and EC2 (BYOL)?

The risk involved in the interaction between our EC2 & EKS clusters and external workloads is eliminated through Mesh7 API security instances. Its installation & setup in our AWS environment is quick as we simply subscribe to Mesh7 Cloud Application Behavior Security BYOL from AWS Marketplace and all licensing & updates are managed fully by Amazon. What problems is Cloud-Native API Behavior Security for EKS and EC2 (BYOL) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Application behavior anomalies & mitigations in our EC2 and EKS clusters are effectively captured and their insight reports can be obtained from our Mesh7 Admin console. We opt for 64-bit t2.xlarge AMI for optimal performance and adhere to our customer specifications. It also prevents GDPR & CCPA compliance violations as it restricts the exposure of our clusters to unknown domains & workloads. It is helpful as we have to provide access privileges to many external third-party APIs for which observability is a tedious task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
