The web application is currently experiencing significant performance issues, characterized by extreme slowness and instability. Occasionally, it fails to accurately reflect the current status of audits, necessitating reliance on email updates to obtain this information. GetAstra engineers were quick to understand the organizational context and our poly-cloud Infrastructure and Microservices architecture. They are clear in specifying the requirements for the penetration testing and quick to provide feedback and get on to the job quicker.

I've used Astra now for 2 years to conduct our pen testing across our web and cloud infrastructure. The platform itself is easy to use and to digest the information with the ability to easily identify issues and then mark them as completed etc. It offers a wealth of information when issues are raised as to what the impact of that issue is, initially through a risk score and then through a detailed explanation. This makes it really easy to follow. The customer support team is also second to none and keep in close contact during the whole process of using their platform. Astra is a easy to use, well thought out, and feature rich security scanning tool for SaaS providers. Their manual pen testers are skilled, capable, and responsive. When asked for suggestions, their advice is relevant, easy to parse, and generally accurate. I especially like the one on one attention given by Astra’s project management staff. We found Astra’s penetration testing process to be exceptionally user-friendly and efficient. What really stood out was their integrated platform — instead of the usual back-and-forth with online forms, Astra provides a streamlined setup that makes launching a pen test quick and straightforward.
The two-phase approach was also a highlight. The initial automated scan identified common vulnerabilities early, giving us the chance to address them right away. This was then followed by a manual review, where qualified testers provided in-depth, detailed reports for each vulnerability. They were also quick to respond to our follow-up questions directly through the platform, which made communication smooth and effective.
Whenever we needed help, our Customer Success Manager was supportive and responsive — even going as far as enabling an additional re-scan to help us reach A+ status.

The pentesting team is genuinely skilled and knowledgeable. They successfully identified exploits that had been flagged in previous assessments, which gave me confidence in their thoroughness and expertise. The UI could use some work to make it more intuitive. There are certain required parameters that aren't always clear upfront, which can slow things down initially. However, this is easily manageable when you work closely with the team during the pentest process.
I did experience some communication challenges early on, likely due to language barriers. I found myself having to repeat instructions multiple times, even when providing video walkthroughs. Once we got past this initial hurdle though, communication improved significantly.
