What do you dislike about API Discovery and Security Management Platform?

I can claim the vendor only after I claim all of their APIs. Whether all related APIs should be declared to claim their vendor for consistency, it can sometimes be very time-consuming when a vendor has countless unclaimed APIs related to it.

In addition, there should be some additional features to narrow the search list of unclaimed APIs, especially when there are tens of thousands of them and going over page by page can be very complicated since sometimes doing that causes buffering problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about API Discovery and Security Management Platform?

A variety of API administration functions are available on this platform, including the ability to execute and test APIs without the need for additional setups or keys. The underlying authentication and authorization were something they all took. There are restrictions on the kind and number of APIs you may use, of course. It is a full marketplace with capabilities for discovery, auditing, and security. This platform provides a vast number of APIs and categories to explore API functionalities. It has great API testing and management tools that even high school students can understand and learn from. What do you like best about API Discovery and Security Management Platform?

Instead of hunting for APIs, I can find them all in one place, compare any parameters that I need to, and integrate them into whatever applications I am working on. Apart from that, whenever I pick up code from Open Source, I can always have API Discovery run through it to tell me about any APIs that are embedded in the code without me having to go through each line. What do you like best about API Discovery and Security Management Platform?

I enjoyed using this platform. As a student, I find it helpful to be able to scan projects and discover APIs because sometimes you want to learn how a specific feature was implemented in a particular project and which APIs were used to facilitate a task. This feature can also be accessed through the IDE plugins, but I haven't had a chance/need to try that.

The APIs are pre-programmed to run and test multiple end-points in one click. The ability to test APIs within the platform is handy because otherwise, I almost always have to write a short python script to try an API. Additionally, the comparison feature (for API responses) allows one to choose the suitable API for their needs in short time.

From a security point of view, I was able to run pre-designed security tests which is great feature for someone with little knowledge of security testing. The test can also be customized depending on one's needs. Moreover, one can put an API on continuous monitoring to automatically run tests according to a pre-defined schedule and generate some nice test reports. Overall it is a great platform. This platform has number of API management features, such as executing/testing APIs directly from the platform without any keys or configuration. They all took are of the underlying authentication/authorization. Of course there’s limitation on how many and which APIs you can try. It’s a complete marketplace with discovery, audit, and security features. They have added a simple API testing tool as well (not exhaustive like Postman), but very useful for quick testing. The API scanning cli is easy to set up and use, I was able to find and track the API embedded in my codebase. I also like testing out new APIs on the platform, I can quickly pick APIs and test them without setting up a new account and implementing the authentication! It also provides some neat API governance features, it would help the organization to track and manage the API usages. My org has a review process for any new integration or 3rd party service we want to use, it can be useful to find out if there are any APIs in our system that we are not aware. The platform's unique offering of features covers the entire spectrum of API management, ranging from the marketplace, discovery, audit, and playground aspect to an extensive API testing and security suite. The API collection/catalog is extremely rich, and it is easy to find a suitable API for most use cases. There are additional features, like the source code scanner and legal document/license evaluation, which I haven't used much personally but I can see how it benefits larger teams and enterprises.
