What do you like best about Apache Cayenne?

It can handle large datasets and it's very easy to use. Developers find their task way more productive and do not have to spend much time on relational DB. Someone with very basic SQL knowledge can create wonders with this tool. I really like the object-relational handling in the tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache Cayenne?

We need to work on it initially and understand the backend process, after that everything is a cakewalk. The interface is a little tricky and loading time is sometimes more, apart from that all is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While am a developer who uses Java as a programming language to code an application. and using the Cayenne I can connect with any type of database that is what I like most. while we need No SQL knowledge to add a database. as being poor with SQL. Haaahaa Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Apache Cayenne?

The best thing about Cayenne is that it has a Modeler, which effectively removes any requirement to write a mapping XL like in the case of hibernate and it requires only clicking things to get started. Time and Effort saving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache Cayenne?

One major issue which we faced with Cayenne is that it's not that good at handling databases without primary keys or non-integer primary keys. So if you have a non-indexed DB schema, Cayenne will have difficulty returning entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The phenomenal orm tools I used to bind to db shemas to pojos or Java objects ,I don't need other Java libraries like jmx ,hibernate and many more and orm tools anymore... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
