I've been using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service for a few months now and I'm really impressed. It's been a great way to get started with Kubernetes without having to worry about the underlying infrastructure. The service is managed and scalable, which means that I can focus on my applications instead of spending time managing servers. I was looking for a way to create applications that automatically scale up and down and run in a highly available configuration across multiple Availability Zones without overhead of extra networking. It is a great Kubernetes service over the cloud and I dislike nothing about it. Easy to use and highly scalable, this is a must-have for any developer with ambitions to scale their application.
You might think that the service is little bit pricey, but I think it's worth it considering how much time you save on administration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AWS has the most and best custom-made tools that fit the exact needs of many industries.
Amazon CodeWhisper is one such solution that makes ML coding a cakewalk. Sagemaker is another king. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One dislike with AWS is that the learning curve is a bit steep when compared to other major cloud providers. Feels like AWS is a bit inclined towards people more familiar with Linux environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AWS cloud helps with an extensive documentation and support center. The best thing is easy access to all the resources, so a novice can also easily get started Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is not much room for dislike. However, some services such as ECS lacks features that could make them easier to use. SQS can be made better by providing event sourcing natively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
multi A-Z feature
EC2 LBs all in one place along with WAF rules, no need to be dependent on other various teams for LB configuration or setting up other parameters Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FORCED MANDATORY UPDATE of
1. MySQL containers
2. Kernel upgrade
3. Too much data for Athena and less way to simplisize it
Try to make the UI a bit better and also give options for graph as in splunk! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are using some services like EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, Cloud watch, ELB, VPC, IAM, and EKS which are easy to use, and with a high availability solution. Its User-friendly UI and affordable cost than other cloud service providers attract every user to use it. I can say AWS Cloud is the most commonly used cloud service as per today generations and it has all the required features and services which is usefull for all organizations. I am using AWS for more than 5 years of my experience. I never faced any issue as of now. They assure us of a high availability solution. Thanks a lot, we have hosted our whole infrastructure in the AWS cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use EKS in our day-to-day life. It is very easy to manage and deploy k8s applications using EKS. Especially when someone is using most of the services offered by AWS, it is really easy to integrate this with AWS Fargate when serverless architecture is required. Amazon EKS solved most of our business problems. However, we faced some issues concerning scalability. We can choose it when we use AWS cloud for deployment. However integration with other services is not good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The on-demand pricing option is the best. Pay as you go basis.
Also, the documentation helps to get started with any new service required.
The monitoring service has quite a good feature.
Organizing resources deployed using cloud formation stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The free tier could provide more service options for beginners.
More transparency in the upfront cost.
Developer support can be improved.
The Developer forum can be improvised. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The AWS services are excellent and simple to use; Amazon S3 offers safe, reliable, and very scalable object storage, This is why I like this platform and have cheap compared to other Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AWS needs to make improvements to its cloud construction tool and interface. The UI's inconsistent offerings are just amateurishly exceptional. I think this is only the thing that AWS need to improve else fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
EKS and ECR are the services that i like the most . It provide a easy way to create a cluster with just one command using cli or can be create it using dashboard. After that we can just deploy our applications using docker images with ECR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Complicated to configure public and private subnet. Need here to do route public and private subnet manually. Also while peering two VPC route must be done haing route table. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are required to monitor Kubernete clusters for our clients. I built my first Cluster on Amazon EKS, initially private subnets didnt work for me. but a few configs later i could master it. EKS makes Master management a breeze Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
one requires to use cloud formation to use EKS, i feel it descructive in nature to modify properties. It took me way to long to create my cluster hence difficult for new users and too fragile to be of any great use for a devops person Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
