Why do I always need to come out of Insert option while creating a program or opening any file again

Whenever I try to open a file or anew file in the Pycharm, I see that the file doesn't open properly and default option goes to insert mode. Then again I should enter Insert button(fn+E) to come out of the mode as anyone is accustomed to this mode. Please suggest any short cut method.
