When NetBrain supports a vendor device type, does it mean that it supports all models of this vendor device type?

NetBrain’s development team tries the best to support and test all models that belong to a vendor device type. However, due to the fact that there can be many models for a vendor type, NetBrain may need to work with customers to fully support certain models. Basically we will ask the customer to provide information on the method to retrieve data from a model as well as to provide some sample data.

NetBrain has a comprehensive list of Network Configuration Tables (NCT) for each device type (e.g., ARP Table, Route Table). In general, NetBrain supports most of the vendor devices. If a device is not supported, NetBrain is very responsive in providing new device drivers.

NetBrain uses a no-code approach to device drivers to enable any customer to add ANY device from any manufacturer. We have a well documented driver setup and our customer services team is happy to assist in doing so if desired. NetBrain currently supports more than 5000 devices from more than 400 manufacturers out of the box. If unique devices are involved in a customer's network, then our no-code driver framework allows the native interface to be leveraged within the NetBrain platform with ease..
