There are a number of ways to use competitive info from SpyFu for SEO: 1. Review a competitor's keywords - where do your keywords or your client's keywords overlap with your competitors'? 2. SpyFu will identify other competitors of your competitors--typically those that are not as strong as your primary competitor, from an SEO perspective. Look at what those companies' sites are doing to establish a benchmark around content, keywords, pagespeed, etc. 3. The SEO Keywords tab shows you standard CPC, rank, ranking difficulty, searches per month, and more for all of the keywords ranking for your competitor. Use that information to refine your own keyword usage or to identify gaps where you can improve your ranking vs your competitor. 4. The Ranking History tab gives you different views for keyword and page ranking, such as which ones fell off the front page, which keywords are newly ranking on the site, etc. You can view a screenshot of the historical version of the Google SERPs for the keyword/competitor to see their listing, which can help you understand their page content, meta descs, and more, especially for those pages/keywords that have gained rank. Do more of what they are doing. 5. The Backlinks Tab shows you a exportable list of backlinks to your competitor sites, and in some cases shows how many social shares those backlinked pages got. 6. If you are working for a client, you can generate a recon client (if you have the Pro version), which is a great place to start building a proposal or SEO report of your own. Hope this helps.
