What is the technology of Oracle Sales Cloud

Oracle Sales Cloud is a modern CX package/solution that uses a variety of technologies that are collectively based on Oracle FUSION and an Oracle Database. The programming language used by developers in extending/configuration is GROOVY (it is a Java scripting language and considered an advanced substitute of Java; in fact it is a JVM and runs on the Java compiler). The other area within Oracle Sales Cloud that developers use to config/extend the application is a browser based IDE (this allows modifications of screens, data structure, workflow, trigger/events, etc). Java is the basis because it makes it easy to extend. Oracle Sales Cloud is located in an Oracle Data Center and infrastructure related operations are handled by Oracle.Implementing Oracle Sales Cloud is very similar to other cloud projects in that it can either be self-contained or can be extended to integrate with on-premise applications. This is done via web-services (the web services would be developed in traditional IDE’s from a developers PC using Java and then deployed on infrastructure provided by the customer of Oracle Sales Cloud (also Oracle has the option of deployment of these custom web services/logic to infrastructure that Oracle manages in the same data center).
