What is the best way to get people who are unsure of a product on board without being too pushy?

What would you recommend for someone who does not like it when people abandon their carts? I do not like when this happens. Especially when you get the chance to speak to them about it, as typically, they can just leave. So when you do get that opportunity hpw do you make it best count?
