Having someone monitor and respond in the Chat while another presents proves effective. More pertinent questions in the Chat could also be verbalized by the Chat Moderator. You can also leverage Q&A Pod to keep the Chat clean, but practice with it first. Breakout Rooms are also a great tool, just like working groups during In-Person learning sessions.

You could use the notes pod and give participants enhanced rights and pose a question and then let everyone type their answers as a collaborative effort. You could use the polling questions. You could share content like a pdf, powerpoint, or video, and then collaborate on a note pad together, you could use the chat pod, you could have everyone turn on their webcams (like a larger facetime) and talk and maybe have the notes pod under the webcams...there are tons and tons of ways. it's also helpful to know if this would be for a small group or a large webinar since that changes the way in which you would want people to interact :)

I'd like to help you, but that's kind of a very broad question. Can you be more specific about what kind of info you're looking for? Are you asking how to facilitate discussion in general or are you asking about using Adobe Connect functionality and add-ins that might help with that?
