What is the best customer service automation tool for small businesses?

We’re a small business trying to level up our customer service automation. Think chatbots, AI support, and automated ticketing so we can handle more inquiries without overwhelming our small team. We’re looking for something affordable, easy to integrate, and smart enough to actually help (not frustrate) customers.

Here are some tools I’ve been looking at on G2:

  1. Fin by Intercom — Built on Intercom’s platform; how good is the AI for small teams?
  2. Salesforce Service Cloud — Enterprise-grade, but is it overkill for a smaller company?
  3. Smartsupp — Affordable live chat; how effective is its automation?
  4. Google Contact Center AI — Big name, advanced tech; is it too complex to set up?
  5. Textline — Focused on SMS; does it cover broader service needs too?
