SMS can be used beyond marketing for direct communication with customers, partners, and staff. Drawbacks: 1. Verification process in North America: You need a verified toll-free or 10DLC number. The verification process is done through the Textmagic platform and takes up to 5 business days. Once your number is approved, you’re good to go without worrying about it again. 2. You can only text people who’ve explicitly agreed to receive messages from you. This ensures compliance and avoids spam complaints, but it means you need to build a permission-based contact list first. Improvements: 1. We are actively working to add more contact channels to our platform. WhatsApp and calls are already available, and Meta integration is coming soon. 2.
